Oh and By the way I use shell!
Depends on which motor, I know the H22 requires premium fuel only!!!

ya, some of the DOHC VTEC engines (b16) require high octane, due to high compression.....if your running a D series just keep with 87 (what the manual recomends)......

oh ya, and I go to either Candian tire (when I have one of those 10x, 8x or 5x coupons for Canadian tire money), or Petro-can for the points.....

none of the stock honda motor's require any more than 91, unless you have done something which it will benefit.

IE. Turbo

I use Shell 87 cause I have the past pay tag, which links to my AMEX to collect points and Air Mile.

Only time I use 94 is the day I race on tracks, or when I am in a good mood and the gas is low.

I go to wherever is closest when I need gas, but it has to be a major chain - not 7-11 or CT or Zehers or WalMart. I mean a gasoline chain, cuz most of those places get their gas from the same distributor. (blue truck with yellow lettering-not Sunoco)

Not all engines need higher octane but I can't see how a cleaner burning fuel could be bad for your engine.

i used to fill up with 94 octane only... Then the car went back to stock, and now I give it 87. Still Sunoco though.

Higher octane fuel won't burn as well in a motor that requires 87 OC,.. Causes more carbon buildup.. Higher compression motors require higher octane fuel to prevent pre- ignition in the chambers resulting in pinging(detonation)..

i believe octane is a measure of a fuel's stability at certain pressures, not cleanliness.

in any case you should all check out www.torontogasprices.com......best tool ever. i can't count how much i've saved.
