most of the places where you just drop your name you're not getting a discount at all.

ask for a price, then mention you're in TCC and see how the price doesn't change... c'mon man.. it's marketing. why would they care if you're a member or not when they're making money.

I joined because of the parkway discount. haha

It's not even really about the deals anymore. I'll admit that that's why I first joined, but now I just like to support the club because it's fun, the people are great, and I know it's going towards a good cause.

And plus, 10 bucks per year for renewal is peanuts. I donate that with my change at Tim Horton's every months.

Well, I was at Parkway today and even though I was with Michelle and I have dealt with Brett before, he still asked me for my card.

well we've had ppl try to use their expired cars or whatever to jack our perks y0, so it's nice to know that our affiliates are doing their job to try to prevent the misrepresentation of our club.

like we had one guy a couple of years back say he was 'with' the club and he tried to score perks.... but he wasn't even a paid member. WEAK!

He asked for mine and I'm glad he did!

Paid members know that that's how the system works. You show a valid card and you get a discount...its very simple

I totally expect affiliates to ask for cards, that's why we have them, right?

Speaking of which, I need a new one because mine's expired.

I went with Double_B to Parkway today in order for him to pick up an O2 sensor, and Brett asked him for his card while I was standing there. LOL...

SS knows the diff between a paid member and a non-paid..
ya, he'll give a non-paid board member a great deal (as quite a few forum users have found, just look at the feedback forum), but NOT the same deal that a paid member will get on equipment (a deal which has been posted numerous times in the lounge)

when i priced my parts for my tune up (small things...ie. oil filter, spark plugs, etc) i found there prices to be inflated compared to whitby honda, so the 30% didnt' help much but maybe thats just on the small things

Come to a meet on Wed to get your card, or PM Electronblue or Cantonagod so they can meet up with you to give you your card. Or I can get it from them and I will meet up with you and give it to ya. All three of us live in the Durham region and I believe you live in Pickering, so it shouldn't be a problem if you can't make a meet.

let me know.

BTW, did you send in a pic of your car to be put on your card?

The last I heard they still needed people to fill a page before they printed it? I sent a pic of my ride to Cantonagod but if you guys need it again just let me know.
I'm coming this week to the meet so hopefully we can get it resolved then?
