well guys i did it

i bought my project car.

as well some of you know and have met me i also drive a SIR,
anyways to get to the point of this.

i bought a 91 TEG GS, fully loaded, it has those wicked seatbelts that are automatic, its a 5spd with 144,000 miles yes MILES so 200,000km to be rough. but the B18A is still running strong. it has some minors... it needs the timing redialed...... b/c my buddy told me when he gives it gas it kinda loses power... dont know if thats the timing???? also it needs a new RAD.... but other then that, the sunroof, the AC works.. hehe

the car is pretty good shape, it has some rust but no BULLET holes. so thats good for me, i can do some body work... and then get it painted....

since it is a DOHC non VTEC... this car will be track use... and well be a daily driver... depends how much BOOSt i rUn through it...

i cant wait...... wooooooohooooooooooo finally a torquey car! well somewhat

it is wise to only have ONE project car, and usually the newer car makes the smartest project car. but what do I know

I mean, maybe to you it makes sense to dump all kinds of money into an old beater with 200K kms.

newer car > old car

I mean, have you ever seen an old car done up that looks great, but drives like poop, rattles like a bag of rusty nuts, and has resale value of $0

put your money into the SiR, and drive the 91 integra.

I would work on the SiR as well. Forget the GS. Chasis is probably done for anyways. Say you even fixed up the motor and painted it and everything. Its still an old, sh*ty looking GS.

SiR is MUCH better. If you like boost (who doesn't) try an Edelbrook turbo kit, or a Vortech Supercharger. You get over %60 power increase, with a very moderate boost. Dude forget the GS, waste of money. SiR is the way to go...

it sounds from your post that you plan on keeping the engine, so it doesnt sound like a great project, for induction on an engine with one foot in the grave, and even at its pea aint exactly a tarmac terror, id go SIR as well, and use the beater as a beater, but thats just me
