Maybe they bought it as a factory option when they purchased the car.
I had both a 94si coupe, now I have a 95ex coupe (from florida). I can tell you the differences, power windows and power locks, thats it. I like the power windows a lot, and installing my alarm was a lot easier with the power locks installed from the factory.
Keep looking for an ex coupe, or just buy one from buffalo or something and import it.

i think i'm gonna buy a dx.. 94 or 95, then do power windows and locks bring it up to "si" my self.. I will save money on car, for a swap.. i'm going with b18c1.. anyone have any info on dual stage intake, that the gs-r engine has... it sounds cool, but is't good performance wise, gas economy

The Si's come with nicer interiors as well, better quality material.
The Si's are also quieter inside when driving because they have more sound deadening tar on the floor.
The Si's also have stock sway bars in the front.
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the Si's come with bigger brakes compared to the DX, CX for sure. Atleast the front is bigger. Bigger Rotors and Calipres.
So if you think you're going to make an SI out of a DX for cheaper then your wrong. Unless you consider power windows and locks good enough. Just buy a higher mileage Si or one with a dying engine.
Dual stage Intake? You mean Secondary Butterflies? They open up at higher rpms to allow more air intake.

The size of Si rotors changed from the 92-93s to the 94-95s.
I remember this cause me and ryan hook did our brakes the same week, and we saw the size difference when we bought our brembo brake rotors.
And turning a DX into an SI? Bad idea like Cablerat said. I dunno where your gonna find all the si power window parts to make it factory, the wiring will be fun since I dont think the DX harness in the door has space for power windows and doors. The prices between DXs and SIs are negligible, save yourself huge hassles and just find an SI/EX.

Insurance will probably be about $1000 difference per year..
So yeah it's better to go DX or even CX.
Put this way, no matter what you buy, you're screwed.. Only good thing for you is you're in Ajax, which has mucher lower zone rates. When I moved from scarborough to pickering, mine dropped like $1200 a year instantly cuz of the zone.
