OFFICIAL meets are Wednesdays at Kennedy Commons and that should not be interfered with.

As for the pre-meets to cruise out to KC — definitely... I think this is a great idea. The westend used to do this last year in Mississauga and it worked out great. It brings more people out to the official meets because they don't feel they're the only ones travelling a vast distance to get there.

In no way should any meet interfere with the official KC meets. I think we can all agree on that.

Now, regarding the Friday night westend meets and the proposed Sunday Hamilton meets, I think they're great too. This is an opportunity for non-members to meet paid members of TCC and find out a bit about the club (in person) without driving a long distance. I'm all for the unofficial meets... just realize that mods will only be there if they feel like it.

What those who oppose these unofficial meets have to realize is that the club has grown outside of Toronto and as this happens it will only mean that there will be more and more members (or potential members) organizing these unofficial meets to get together. Not everyone can make the 1hr+ drive to KC every week so meeting up with fellow TCC members at a closer locale is a nice alternative.

We all are owners of the club (those that have paid at least) — at least that's what the TCC mandate states on the web site — and as owners we have the capability to shape its direction. What this means however, is that those who have built the club & see the club as their own (whom I greatly respect for creating this club) must understand that like the bird that learns to fly and eventually leaves the nest, we must let the club grow and ****** its wings wherever members pop up. In the end it will only make the club stronger.

I hope everyone sees what I'm trying to say and hopefully the founders of this club agree with me.

- Ryan
I agree with you but that was a little long for me to read.

Ryan- couldnt have said it better myself...i think that everyone on here has a point except for xiF66 i think he smoked a lot of crack as a kid and should go back to whatever rock he was under...nothing personal but, even though i dont make it the 2 hours to KC every wednesday, I AM a paid memeber now, and i do what I can (now that I live in ontario again) and I would have to agree that official meets have to happen at KC otherwise they arent TCC meets....and also, on a side note im totally up for premeet in hamilton (or mississauga????) since i cruise all the way from woodstock when i do make it out, and its a long drive solo...thats my 2 cents

Exactly Ryan. We have grown beyond Toronto and I do not expect everyone to come out to KC every week. But as you and others have said Wednesday at KC is the official meet and we should not have conflicting meets. Actually without Wednesdays at KC this club may never have gotten off the ground.
I have no problem with groups of people getting together any other time of the week and encourage any potential member to go to any of these unofficial meets to meet some of the great TCC people.
My first response may have seemed a bit harsh but from an admin point of view we are always working to keep the club running smoothly and try to keep the members as happy as we can, which at times is a lot of work, and one post like this could start to fracture the group.

Not everybody but it only takes a couple of people. I don't need a break, I do this because I enjoy it and want to see this club get bigger and better, but sometimes it does get a little frustrating.

Now the 2 of you shut up! j/k

I just got back from wasaga and saw this thread...

We could all meet at an earlier time at hutches and then go from there. Depending on the time on sunday I can make it.
