Weekly Hamilton Meets.....

Weekly Hamilton Meets.....
Here is what I was thinking since it sounded like there was a good turnout last sunday. I was thinking of having a weekly hamilton meet at HD.
I was thinking either a sunday or a wednesday. Sunday is good because there are alot of cars at the beach (1 min away) but not enough parking spots. I was also thinking Wednesday because then whoever wanted could go to the toronto meet (or vice versa).
Who would be up for this?

Saturdays, Sundays are fine with me... Wednesdays are not cool.
Even if you were to organize it for Wednesdays and have ppl show up, it's not a good idea to post on this forum. The official meets are designed to attract members from all areas in southern Ontario, and having another meet elsewhere on the same night would directly conflict with the interest of this club.
Scarborough is not all that far from Hamilton to make a trip there every other or few weeks. I know because I do it. Besides, you're missing out on a rather large gathering of members and rides from all areas in the GTA... if ya don't ever go.
I said it before and I'll say it again... if anyone in my area wants to cruise out or ride with me to KC, I'm more than willing to help out that way.

We already have an official meet on Wednesday in Scarborough. If you try to change this you will find yourself in your own forum.
The end there is no room for compromise.

That is what I meant about wednesday nights. Whoever is going from or through hamilton, they can meet up at say homedepot and cruise up to scarborough together.
Also, I was thinking either saturday or sunday (sunday preferebly) because that is when alot of cars end up going to the beach and chilling there. Just no parking spots left
Other than that, who is up for every sunday at HD ? I would be once I have my license (2.5 weeks and counting)....

hey dude you deserve some time in the little forum of "WE DON"T WANNA HEAR FROM YOU" ... shooting off your mouth like that ....where in this green earth do you get off assuming an Admin (who is exercising his admin abilities and privleges to inform a user (who is not a paid member) that his thread is conflicting with TCC goals) is worse then a **** ... or even worse the Hilter himself?? last time I checked NONE of the admins have killed even 1 person let alone 6 million in concentration camps never mind the millions that died in the fields of Europe because of Hilter. Dude we don't need people acting like asses take it elsewhere.
if I was an admin (which I'm so grateful I'm not) you'd already be in the forum of "WE DON"T WANNA HEAR FROM YOU".

Ok... DumbasSi was telling me about this thread earlier today over MSN Messenger (couldn't access the site from my Mac for some reason). I heard about Jeff's response and got all upset until I read the entire thread just now and I wholeheartedly agree with him.
OFFICIAL meets are Wednesdays at Kennedy Commons and that should not be interfered with.
As for the pre-meets to cruise out to KC — definitely... I think this is a great idea. The westend used to do this last year in Mississauga and it worked out great. It brings more people out to the official meets because they don't feel they're the only ones travelling a vast distance to get there.
In no way should any meet interfere with the official KC meets. I think we can all agree on that.
Now, regarding the Friday night westend meets and the proposed Sunday Hamilton meets, I think they're great too. This is an opportunity for non-members to meet paid members of TCC and find out a bit about the club (in person) without driving a long distance. I'm all for the unofficial meets... just realize that mods will only be there if they feel like it.
What those who oppose these unofficial meets have to realize is that the club has grown outside of Toronto and as this happens it will only mean that there will be more and more members (or potential members) organizing these unofficial meets to get together. Not everyone can make the 1hr+ drive to KC every week so meeting up with fellow TCC members at a closer locale is a nice alternative.
We all are owners of the club (those that have paid at least) — at least that's what the TCC mandate states on the web site — and as owners we have the capability to shape its direction. What this means however, is that those who have built the club & see the club as their own (whom I greatly respect for creating this club) must understand that like the bird that learns to fly and eventually leaves the nest, we must let the club grow and ****** its wings wherever members pop up. In the end it will only make the club stronger.
I hope everyone sees what I'm trying to say and hopefully the founders of this club agree with me.
