Warning torontojdm, owner spazzing out on calm customer

got a timing belt from them yesterday, he asked me. H22a4 2000 Prelude SH? correct? i said yes it is, and he ordered me a belt told me to come pick it up later on in the day so i did. when i returned home i checked with my old belt and it turns out the belt he ordered me was WAY smaller and i NEEDED a belt TODAY so i went back to their store at 6pm and he tells me i have to wait until tomorrow but i cannot wait until tomorrow so i wanted a refund to buy one from napa. he started swearing and getting all pissy at me just because i VERY calmly said. i cant wait unitll tomorrow because i need a belt today and you guys got me the wrong one. he kept on saying it wasent his fault and it was the computer who told him what belt (not to menton swearing and stuff talkin like i was wrong) then after that his boy from the shop comes out and tells ME to calm down...... wtf? i was the one talking all normal and calm he started going all crazy on me, like damn i thought i was going to get hurt in there. In the end tho i got my money and they got a bad repution.

my question is... if your computer is telling you for a 2000 prelude SH, that this is the belt then isent it YOUR fault because its YOUR computer? how can you say its not

and i QUOTE

HOW IS IT MY F***NG FAULT THE F***ING COMPUTER TOLD ME ITS THIS F***ING BELT.

-From Owner of Toronto JDM

btw this is only a little sample of what he said it was crazy in there. tried to intimidate a customer to just shut up and come back tomorrow

if you go to torontojdm make sure you bring a weapon just incase for self defence, and im serious.....

Why not just buy the belt from the dealer, for the extra couple bucks your getting oem quality. I would never take a chance on snapping a belt on an interference engine just to save a buck or 2. Plus I never trust these JDM places, they are all shady imo.

They screwed me long ago when I got my swap from them. They said my swap come with this and this but it came with nothing. The. I went back to ask them about it and they said oh that stuff is coming in the next shipment so I waited and waited. The. The shippment came in and I went the next day to get my parts and they said sorry they sold it and they didn't even give me parts of my money back ... After that I never been back there since. I also lots of people who had a bad exprinces with them. He sold my one friend a h22 that had no compression and said it was our fault but we did the test right after we got the engine off the truck. He said he would gives another but we had to pay extra for devilry such bs

^^^FO SHO! It's a wonder how those ****ers are still around...customer service goes a loooong way. I don't mind paying a couple extra bucks to deal with really good people. It's like tipping at a restaurant if the server's good I take care of them...if not I leave **** and leave a mess for them to clean lol

Kind of stupid to go to torontojdm to buy a timing belt....you drive a honda obviously you go back to honda to get the parts??? they sell engines and transmissions and other jdm parts!! dealt with karim for more than 3 years never had a problem!! next time honda is the place to go to!!

Damn...That sucks dude. But, ya gotta think...it's 6pm...they are closing up soon and maybe the dude was having a really bad day...like I mean just a fubar'd day. Understandably, that's no excuse to go off the deep end but, everyone has their moments. Personally, I've never had any issues with those guys. They may tell you something to get you to buy an item although it may not be true but, if you know what you are looking for, you know what to get anyways whether or not what they say is true. Problem with modifying a car with a motor that's not stock, you run into little things along the way...hell, the size of your cam gears even off by a tooth will screw up your timing belt size. Good thing to remember for all you DYI'ers or otherwise, bring in the old part with you to determine if you have the right new part before walking away with it. If it's not an OEM part, they are not gonna be able to tell you 100% if it will work....hence, one of the reasons for the price difference of OEM and Aftermarket.

MY experience with TorontoJDM was a good one. However, few weeks ago (24th or 26th... Saturday) I said I would pick up a tranmission. I called, left a msg, msg had the business hours (Sat. until 2). I drove from Peterborough to Scarborough... they were closed... a sign on the front said so for the inconvience... I was wicked pissed... doubt I'll buy the transmission from them now. But, my JDM ITR steering wheel is awesome! Far shipping, and price! Great contacts too!
