Want to join TCC
Hey guys! I'm interested in joining TCC and coming out to the meets. However, I don't know anyone and would feel kind of shy approaching people. I'm assuming most people in TCC are friends from before or know each other somehow. I hope there is someone that can introduce me to people to kind of break the ice. Hope to meet you guys soon.

Hello James.You will find that most of us actually all met first time through the club .. Everyone is normally very friendly , but you will have to make an attempt at making contact . If you ask for anyone of the admin staff they will be able to help you out . More likely then not you will get welcoming response from most....
Hope that helps....
BTW most people will be able to point out an admin.... most of them are bald

James, welcome. TCC is all good, just walk up to a big tall goofy lookin guy, hand him the fee and say "Hi BOND 007, I'm James and I wanna join." 
TCC is a cool place, and lotsa cool ppl. They'll give you a warm welcome when you come to the meet, but you do have to let them know who you are, not just stand in a corner hoping someone will ask you to come talk to them. Besides, it's not like none of us have anything in common, right?

a little history, i came to my first meet in december of 2001
i didn't know anyone, all i knew was there was this big guy named jeff that liked a sub-level brittish football team
i was feeling the same way that you are....but everyone at the meet was very cool...and very open to meeting new people (except WNT_2_GO_FST...he just kept trying to 'touch' me)
now i'm part of the admin..and love the club more than ever......so if you come out... look for me (bald white guy
) and i'll introduce to everyone

Hey James welcome to the club.
Now that you made you first moved, whic is introducing your self. And joining the board.
All you got to do is come out to the meet and chill with someone or sit inside tims. for sure someone will talk to you.
If you don't like that idea, i can meet you and then go to the meet and meet those people at tims. That way i know you and you know me
by the way Agent_Red will be there too, he is kinda busy but he will go to the meet.

Hey James. Welcome to the club. Just ask for Jon, Jeff or Myself. were the Admin that are at the meets EVERY week. Some of the others don't show up.
You missed your big chance. If you would have shown up for the dinner yesterday you would have had the chance to meet Jugglez.
Hope to meet you at a meet sooner then later.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I'm glad that coming out to the meets won't be as difficult as I thought. For the admins: I've filled out the online application and will pay the membeship fee the next time I can make it out to one of the meets. By the way, where and when exactly are the meets held? Tangimano, I'll take you up on that offer of going to the meet together. Thanks again.

I just joined 2 weeks ago and I didn't know anyone ... and I'm still getting to know everyone... I am also shy myself, but I dicided to go out to a meet and see what it was like...it's been great so far ... I'll be at the wednesday meet...

Welcome to TCC If at the meets you have trouble looking for bald guys and big guys, just go up and talk to the blonde girl, she is friendly, social, not too bright sometimes, but not too bad to look at She also knows most of the people at the meets.

I just want to say that i have been around this site for a month or two now and i have mostly been looking at the for sale ads looking for a civic. If i do end up getting one, i will join the club.
Dont have a civic yet.
But you guys definitely sound like an enjoyable bunch. I have driven by acouple of times and seen you guys meet at KC. Maybe one of these meets i will be brave enough to come out and introduce my self.
