Vin number and emission tests

hey

so i tried to do an emissions test today but the first guy couldnt stabalize my car on the dyno so he had to call his buddy

when his buddy came he saw my dash i told him my car got broken into and my dash had to be swapped and that my VIN on my door panel matched but he still wouldnt do the test

my car passed but i cant get the paper cuz of some BS technicality issues

called the ministry they gave me a 416 number to call it was something about vin renewal something something...

my question is if anyone can shed some light i need my stickers before july 10th so i need this emissions test everything on my car is legit i just swapped my dash (stupid me for throwing away my old one)

Well I had kinda the same thing happen. Just removed my dash drilled out the rivets and said it was like that when I got it. The checked the firewall and the door for the match and that was it.

its prety simple , just go to any shop that does emission test , tell the owner your situation before he does the emission test ... I m sure you just went to someone that plays by the rules too close

I m also sure other shops will be more understanding if you tell them what happened ...

Its not like you stole the car and the vin number is nowhere to be found ...

Wouldn't your license plate number be attached to your VIN?
Also, your insurance slip would have that info, no?
What about the ownership?
