yeah most of the time it's a temp / doughnut tire. Your limited to 80km/hr and so many km for distance. It's mainly just to get you to a tire place to get your regular tire fixed or replaced. It's best to install this tire on the rear. If you have front that's flat, move one from the rear to the front and install the temp on the rear.

is this a joke???

come on dude , just fill up your tank , get a small gas container in the trunk (just in case), rest whenever you feel tire. Have fun , take pics .

Plus

If you have a gps bring it
bring a cell phone
get CAA (it is worth it)
Make sure you have a spare tire
bring a blanket , water, snacks

thats about it.

when you see the signs warning of hills .. they are real warnings .. those hills are massive.. I love them .. but hey be careful some have steep hills and then they throw a corner in half way down for good measure. don't ask me why ... I guess they want trucks to flip or something.

Check the air in the spare tire and that all the toolls and jack are still there before you leave. If it has never been used and has been stiitng, it might be low. Or, buy a cheap steel wheel and a tire and use that instead of the donut.

I think you should be glad you didn't see a moose. you might have only seen his eyes and that's it. Did you do any night driving in Ontario? All those giant moose signs can get to you after nearly hiting a wolf and a deer and hitting three birds all at once. I had to pick one outta my fog lights.
I made it from Calgary to Toronto in just under 35 hours. Medicine hat Alberta to Brandon Manitoba, one tank. to Kenora Ontario. second tank. to Toronto, another four.

I drove my 1990 civic sedan all the way from London Ontario to Atlanta Georgia without stopping any longer then 1 hour max for lunch and then a few other times for gas with no issues.
