been ignoring tcc for a bit so here is some updates of my spring project:
finally got around to work on the engine yesterday so i took off the mani and accessories and banged off the VC today... hope to have the entire engine disassembled by next week end and if the bearings aren't worn i should be able to afford some upgrades so i can max the tach out with no fear
oh yeah, is there anything i should remember/be aware of when removing the head? most of the bolts are out i was just planning on giving it a few taps with the mallet and lifting it off... does piston or valve orientation matter or can i just yank it off?

before taking off the timing belt, mark the bottom of the cam gear at 6 o'clock and the top of the crank gear at 12 o'clock just to be sure you don't throw your timing or anything else out the door. Then when reinstalling, just line up the two dots together along with the center of each bolt as a guide reference.
