Is it worth buying the undercoating and rustproofing that Honda sells (lifetime warranty) for $800?
Or is it better to go to a 3rd party place outside Honda, that's just as good and maybe cheaper?

Its probably the exact same stuff and the same place too. The dealer makes tons of cash from seling accessories like rust proofing. They charge you $800, but the place that does it probably charges them $400 and the dealer pockets the rest. Just like window tints that they charge alot for, you can get done for under $300.

get more details from the dealer about the warrenty 800 bucks is cheep if it protects from rust for life.

krown does rust proofing for 150 and tintguyz does tinting for 130

you also have to find out if you have to go back yearly for touch-ups and stuff like that, coz you might have to pay for a yearly inspection/touch-up. I work for a dealer, so I know how it works.
