Tune up parts.

Im completely new to the Honda scene. Im looking to tune up my 1990 Civic. Plugs, wires, fuel filter..etc...

I know with my Mustang the 5.0L likes certain plugs. Is the Honda the same way
Its complete stock 1.5L. any benefit to upgrading wires on these things?

just will get a cleaner/better ignition and better running car. id say go with ngk for your plugs and make sure you gap em! also for a full tune up id go:
dizzy cap and rotor, wires, plugs, fuel filter, air filter , oil change, possibly new coolant depending on the condition, and dont forget to get some carb cleaner and clean out the throttle body for a smoother idle!

Unless you're building a race motor, oem quality parts will do just fine and keep it running strong for years.

It may not have the power your 5.0 had, but you'll really enjoy the fuel economy.

Do you have any plans for the car? or is it just going to be a basic daily driver?

+1. NGK plugs make a difference. You wont even gain 4hp but your car will feel better , at least mine did

No no , NGK really makes a difference. You wont get any HP but the car seems to run better. Although OEM plugs are also good

I'm just yankin your chain

Also, by oem quality, I meant any part (aftermarket or oem) that is as good as or better than the oem standards. Like parts you'd get from napa etc...
