A tribute to the Civic...

We just had a long running customer come in today looking for body parts for his car. He's got a 1988 Civic DX Sedan 5MT with - get this, 1,076,937 kms on an original engine, cluster and body. This thing is in mint condition. Original paint. Body is immaculate. Only visible rust was on the hood from stone chips. That's why he was in today to buy a new hood. Engine bay was immaculate. We asked him what he did to keep 'er going and he said all he had to do was do the regular tune ups, change the oil every 3k, vacuum the filter every 3 months and changed the distributor assembly once. Absolutely amazing! Way to go Civic!

Cheers,
Buddah.

what do you mean by that?

its still original engine =)

that means the honda engine live upto its expectation =)

WAY A GO HONDA!

but the point is, do we all love our civic as much as that guy loved his? we probably wouldn't be driving our civic a few years from today =(

^^ He means the odometer only goes to 999,999 so to go past 1,000,000km's the odometer at the point of one million km's read "000,000" like the day it was built...

Also, it true some of use may not be driving our civics 5 years from now.....we'll just be driving newer ones!

We confirmed it actually had gone over a million because at the last three points of service, mileage (on the speedometer) was recorded at 999.067 kms then at 24.321 kms and now just recently at 75,000 kms. So it most definitely rolled over.
