Question Tranny Swap?

I have a 2001 Civic which is automatic. I now want to drive standard. Is it worth it to get a tranny swap on a car that is relatively new and is completely stock?

Yes, that was if I was considering a trade in versus tranny swap. I'm not sure if I am going to trade it in or not. If I decide to keep it just wanted suggestions as to if a tranny swap is worth it.

the money you spend changing over the tranny... will void any warrenty left and why do that when you can trade it in for a 'stock' manual car

When my father got his Si, he really wanted a SiR instead (back in 99). He test drove and everything, loved it but he didn’t want to drive manual to work everyday. So after much contemplation and mind struggling, he decided to go with an automatic Si. I was hoping that he would get a manual (even a manual Si) then I can mod the car in the future. But because he got an automatic, that pretty much forced me to get my own manual car.

No disrespect to automatic driver out there (cause I was one when I started driving), but I think there is no need to mod an automatic. I agree with the above, trade in your car, and get a manual.

I traded my 01 Si in.. not cuz it was auto tho..

I wanted the new SiR 'K' series motor, but you can imagine what I would've had to do to swap that into a 7th gen coupe lol
