Hey guys. I need some advice on a traffic ticket I got and have court for on Wednesday

I was in an accident in march, was my fault as it was a rearender, was winter, 630am, foggy windshield and slippery roads and I smoked someone from behind.

I got charged with careless driving, cop even explaioned to me at the scene that I should fight it and hed have no problem reducing it but he couldnt find anything else that worked with this accident so he had to give me careless at the scene

So I request disclosure

I got to first attendance, nothing gets solved as she doesnt have the officers notes and I wanted to settle for nothing less than complete withdrawl since I didnt feel I was being "careless"

So how they finally send me the notice 2 weeks ago to pick up my disclosure. To me I need more time to prepare my case.

I still havent picked it up and court is wednesday. Would you guys suggest I pick it up or use that as an excuse as well for needing an extension

REASON I NEED EXTENSION

Im 20, G2 liscense and I have 3 speeding tickets, 2 10 over tickets and a 25 over that cost me 3 points. So I only have 3 points left. Careless is 6 points............... I lose my liscense if I get charged with this

I basically want to get the court extended so I have time to possibly seek counsel, get my G liscense so I have the points if I do get convicted

Is it possible for me to ask the prosecutor before hand if the officer is there? Should that be my first question? Cause if he isnt there I can say I want the ticket withdrawled right?

Id obviously it rather be withdrawled but dont know how to go about asking if the officer is present and I want the ticket withdrawled (pretending Im ready to fight the ticket) or how to ask for an extension and definetely get it .

This is a small court to, town of 45,000.

I would really appreciate any help given here
