CT also has the old style torqers for $24. They come in 3/8 or 1/2" drive. They have the scale with a needle and you just read the scale untill you stop, a bit different than setting and letting it click but does the same purpose.

Give me a shout if you need a torque wrench. YOu can borrow mine if you want (provided I get it back in working order haha)

I live in Etobicoke... Islington & Eglinton... or 1/2 a block from there. Around St. George's Golf Course.

Egh, I thought I replyed to this thread.

Don't buy a used one, you don't know how well it's been taken car of.

Torque wrenches go out ofter a while esp if not take care of properly, when you store it you need to release the spring by loosening it all the way.

I suggest saving up and wait for when they go on sale you can ask a manager at Can tire when the wrench is going on sale and they'll be able to look it up for you.

It's not worth buying a torque wrench unless you need it often.

Just borrow one. I'll let you borrow mine. PM me if you want it...

Canadian Tire sometimes doesn't allow returns on open products

Thanks for the offer, I'll msg ya if I need one.

I'm gonna ask around at my school and see if I can borrow one from the auto service classes or something. My neighbour is also a mechanic full time, so I might have some luck there.

I really want to buy one though, because I'm doing my shocks right now, and within the next month or so, I need to put in my springs. Plus my friends want to put in their coilovers, springs, etc.

If you guys could suggest a good type of torque wrench, what would one be?

I got a Husky, once again, I recommend owning and taking car of it yourself, don't borrow from a shop, borrowing from some one else in the club is okay I guess but I wouldn't lend mine out, don't know how people are going to screw with it.

ie try to take bolt OFF with it... that's a sure way to kill it over time..
