for the civics an immobalizer wasnt available till 2001.

lets hope it's the last you hear of it because the cost of doing the job and parts is about 400-500 dollars
so if you have a 97 make sure you go and get a key cut and programmed for your car and leave it where you can always get it just in case.
if you dont believe me call the dealer and tell them you have a 97 lude and you lost all your keys and how mch it will cost to replace them.

if that ever happend I would just re-route the imobilizer to bypass it myself. I rather than then pay lots of money for something so expensive.

I got a 2003 SIR, is that any better than the 2000? I just get paranoid when I park in a place I m not familiar.

What do you mean any better? The 2000 SiR model took first place. From what I noticed on the list 03 SiR aren't on the top ten list.
