Too good of a deal?

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...QAdIdZ79408302

What's your take on it? $9800 for a 2002 Type S with 80Km too cheap? Do you think something is wrong with it? I have seen them go for WAY more. Anybody know of this car? It seems to be really nice.

If its a type s something is wrong for sure. Check out the car thoroughly in person if you want to buy it. And get it inspected by an independent mechanic.

isnt it supposed to have dark type s wheels? but they may not have liked it and got the base ones unless im mistaken, if your looking to buy it go over it inside and out top to bottom, take it to a mechanic you trust, if they have a problem with a mechanic looking at it, then something is up. but that price is crazy low.

maybe the guy is strapped for cash? he has an intake on it so i am guessing it has had the life beaten out of it during those 80,000 kms

Or you can get the vin number of the car and check and see if its been in an accident and re-done at a body shop.

I believe you guys but the thing is... I am not from Toronto, I live near Windsor. What I will do if I go into it further, I will go on RSX forums to see which V.I.N is the type S code. Like our Civic, Prelude, and Integra's.... EG6, BB2, DC2. A carfax is a 100% must. So we'll see; right?

I work at a used car dealership at the moment and used to work at a Ford dealership. I have seen my fair share of good and bad cars. I know what to look for, I am pretty mechanically inclined. So to the one with the analogy of him/her beating the **** out of it because it has an intake; since I turboed my car, do I beat the **** out of it? Not really. No. Yeah, I am going to give them a call to see what's up. Seems that every car I buy is from the GTA area. Our cars here are all rusted out rice buckets.

Yup, too good of a deal.... means
1.) Canadian Type S's never came in that color
2.) Those aren't even type s rims, canadian type's came with dark alloys
3.) Front bumper appears to be repainted. (inner grill is painted)

so its possibly a US Type-S? unless somebody spent a lot of time and money to make a type-s (k20, 6spd etc) the VIN would tell the tale on this car I guess
