RT-615 is an all out max grip dry summer tire. You'll give up ability in the rain as well as tread life for those tires. T1R from what I can recall is high performance summer tire. Not quite as sticky but not as scary in the wet.

i think the best bang for buck are the yoko es, the kumho 712, and the fusion zri....

www.tirerack.com gives you some good rating survey....

Hankook Z212 is also in the price range, you can give that a thought, too.

I have Toyo T1-R's on my car 205/50/15's bought them about 1 1/2 years ago. So they do make them in 15's

Oh and I made the mistake of running 205/50/15's BFG drag radials last year on the street for the summer and 1st they lasted 2 months and 2nd they were scary in the rain LOL, just picture hydroplaning for the whole time you were on the highway when it rained.

I had Z212 last year, both daily driving and road racing, pretty decent dual duty tires.

Though decent in rain, don't do emergency braking.

I have rt-615 right now and it's really not that bad in the rain ...
As long as you dont do stupid things like take turns like you do on dry roads, you'll be fine.

Yes the T1-R's are perfectly fine in the rain. no problems at all.

I am still on my winters, but will soon be switching to a set of 205/45/15 T1R's. They should be great for the street.
