5. Well.......I guess the REAL DIE HARD Civic owners will still turn out.

6. Unless you have been to the new spot.....please keep your comments to yourself, that is, until you do go there.

So I guess if they just fixed the light, the place would be great. Right?

I like the new spot, it's close to work for me. Once the light starts to work it will be even better.

Well....if they fix the light...I guess it would be okay.
Have to agree it was nice having only Civics around (well, except for the Trans AM and the Toyota Celica that showed....but its all good.
Didn't pay attention to how we got there (west-end drive), and got lost on the way home (trying to find the DVP), but other than that, it was relaxing.

I didn't pay attention either... I just followed the westside convoy there. Once we arrived there, I had no idea where I was, other than being able to see the CN tower in the distance. Luckily, I followed Sam (JookSingKid) back, and I thank him for that cuz I too would've gotten lost 4 sure.

Regarding the light in the parking lot... I'll give it a chance.

The JookSingKid Speaks...

They say that moving is one of the most traumatic events in your life. I believe this applys not only to moving homes, but moving anywhere anything.

The "old place" was familiar, everyone went through their own process of adjusting to the nuances that existed at the Kennedy Commons. Even though it wasn't perfect it was what we we're used to. In a sense, we called our home.

But as the club grew as well as the notoriety of the Kennedy Commons and politics amongst groups changed, we began to grow to big for our home. There was a need to find a solution.

The O'Connor meet spot was presented to us and so far we've had 1 chance to test it out for a regular meet.

Now as I read board following after the meet, I didn't see the usual posts, no one complained about domestics, no one complained about police, there was no line up at Timmies!
No one posted how cool TCC people were.

Instead I read a lot of how dark the meet spot was. (Honestly. even though I knew it was dark, I never really noticed) My energy was focused on meeting people I never met before, making friends, helping new and old friend with questions that they had. I finally met nauticac online, I sold eric a set of winter tires, I bummed smokes off of lots of people, I gave Alan a hug and wished him a happy birthday, I look at Rays engine and chatted about "car ownership issues" I was more happy to see the familiar faces of TCC members which I may only see but once a week.

TCC is not Kennedy Commons, and TCC is not O'Connor or a West End meet spot.

TCC is a group of individuals that have decided that based around common interest we would post on a board, meet chat, and through these events we've become friends.

Now before I get distracted and talk about the "haters" and how I don't give a damn about what the critics heed...

I really wanted to say, was that I had an awesome time.
It was really good seeing everyone again.
Hi to everyone who I just met, and if I don't know you and you see me at the meet, come shake my hand.
I'm looking forward to next weeks meet.
And I'm glad there are people out there looking out for the best interest of the club.

The Jook Sing Kid has spoken...

That's all cool Sam. I couldn't agree more about the friendship thing and our common interest in Civics. Totally agreeable.

I did not complain about this new location, other then the small matter of the distance that I must travel. I can deal with that.

I had only suggested that the club try alternating meets from east one week to west the next. For example, one week at O'Connor, the next week at say Erin Mills... and then back to O'Connor the next week and so on. Does this make sense at all? Is it worth a try or does it risk tearing the club apart? IMO, I think the DIE HARD members would still make the trek from eastside to west (and vice versa) for the simple reason that they want to socialize with members further away.

You can all sigh in relief, cuz this is the last time I'm bringing up this suggestion.

Hey, no hard feelings at all. I realize that this is all just a debate. I wouldn't post anything out of anger, or just for the sake of arguing. And, I don't take offense to anything posted on the board, cuz it's so easy to get wrong impressions, etc. I believe that this is an important issue to discuss, therefore I'm doing so. Afterall, what are forums for?

Once again, my apologies for that double post everyone.

When did we get sooo many crybabies.

This move was made in the interest of the club as a whole and at no point did we consider that YOU would be upset because the road was a little bumpy or the light didn't work, or that you think it is further away...sheesh.

Busted roads and a scetchy light both pail in comparison to harassment from Cops, other clubs, CTV, the list goes on.

AND...if my point is not made...you are a grown person... you like KC better...GO BACK....but don't complain when it bites you.

Some may be "crybabies", yes but others may just have the ***** to speak up about certain things... is freedom of speech not allowed here? Anyways, I totally agree with 99% of the above quotes, and once again, I do not have a problem with the new location.
