Thoughts on New Spot

Overall I like Kennedy Commons better. It's right off the highway, there is way better lighting, the atmosphere is different too. The only prob with KC is the domestic guys...with them there, it's too crowded...an idea could be to change to another day.

The new spot has advantages though. It's behind and out of the way of traffic, there is plenty of room, no police problems. A problem is the light though, there is only one street light. Cars parked towards the south were in the dark.

That's my two cents. It's kina far for west enders, but so was the last spot.

What does the rest of the club think?????

You may want to consider meeting at the Tim's near Golden Mile at Eglinton and Pharmacy. There is a large parking lot that is Canadian Tire that you could use, and if I'm not mistaken is dead near closing time (9 pm if I remember correctly).

I too liked Kennedy Commons, but there isn't much space to roam around.

Being close to Canadian Tire also lets you get all the fart pipes you want.

j/k of course.

to many of the cars I see there.

Leave it at kennedy commons....we can't decide on anywhere else so let's leave it as is.
I don't necessarily like KC either, but it stops the infighting on a new location.
Let's just put it to rest and leave the location alone.

Road going there is a bit shitty....

Lighting is a bit shitty...

Hidden location factor is 10...

Lots of parking for everybody....

If they repave O'Connor it would be OK..

May I then make the suggestion of Tim's at Vic Park and 401, just N. on the E side.

There is a large parking lot by Pizza Hut, but I'm not sure if that will back packed or not.

Just offering suggestion. If you're unhappy, then why not look for a solution?

As for the infighting comment.... we're all making pretty civil points.

1-2 kms from my house

Or how about right at Vic Park and Sheppard on the North-West side, where Chuck 'E' Cheese is? That's a pretty big parking lot. Only problem is, if you want Timmies, you gotta drive to the Vic Park/401 one, or the one on Sheppard, between Vic Park and 404.

I didn't go last night cause it's too far (both from my house and from a highway). I like KC cause it's right off the highway. I also like Leslie & York Mills, where the ClubSi guys meet every Wednesday.

i agree with scott. yes it is kinda dark there thats one negative about the place. regarding the road condition there is another way u can use to get there, Bemondsey st. but u have to go around which takes like 2 mins longer than taking oconnor.

Attracts too much attention from our "friendly" Yorkie Police.

Roads to the new spot is crap, but I'm willing to live with it. I like how its hidden and theres more space. Lighting sucks, but you can always bring a giant flash light! haha :working:

i've not seen the new loci at night, but was impressed with it on Sunday..
i agree that a less frequented place would be a nice change..
i'd like to get to know more of the people that belong to this club without having to look over my shoulder every 5 minutes..
less frustration..
less attention..

i hope tho that it doesn't lead to less attendance by club members...
i hooked up here for the people as much as the cars and knowledge base..

1. Called the timmies to find out what's up with the light.....they said they have informed the owner of the property and hopefully it will be fixed by next wed.:working:

2. I see that the one of the westenders is complaing about the distance........it'a about the same.

3. Did anyone notice that we had the place to ourselfs? It felt nice.

4. "Don't like the roads....."oh well. No control over that......just drive slower.

i hope tho that it doesn't lead to less attendance by club members...
5. Well.......I guess the REAL DIE HARD Civic owners will still turn out.

6. Unless you have been to the new spot.....please keep your comments to yourself, that is, until you do go there.

So I guess if they just fixed the light, the place would be great. Right?
