Thinking of selling car... Opinions?

Yep you heard right. I'm seriously considering selling my baby. Since moving to the city, the costs of having a car (which I rarely use) just can't be justified.
Curious to see what you guys think though.
How much could I get for an 02, Taff White, SiR? here's the deets..

52,000km
Winter Stored/Never smoked in
Injen CAI
DC Sports Ceramic Header
MBRP stainless catback exhaust
Hondata intake manifold gasket
Energy Suspension Motor mounts
Eibach Sportline Springs
Ingalls Camber Kit in the rears
DC Sports Rear Lower Tie Bar
OBX Pedals
JVC deck, 12 disk changer, Pheonix gold Amp, two 8" Subs.
JDM emblems
CTR replica spoiler
17" Tenzo Shu-4's, wrapped in Khumo Ecstas
...might be a few things I'm forgetting!

Anyways, if I could get upwards of $20,000 for it, or close to it, I think I'm gonna sell. Is that far-fetched guys? The car's been babied, never street raced, or taken to a track. Just modified it for the sake of making my drive more fun.

Quick glance at AutoTrader, and I don't think 20 grand is unreasonable!

I even have brand new winter steelies, and rubbers to throw in. Intended to drive it this past winter, but couldn't sell my beater, so I just kept driving it.
Also have complete service records. Only people that touched it were at London honda.

Wondering if any other EP owners on this site have sold their cars?

Thats a really nice car, but I think all the mods it has may deter potential buyers. All the mods are very high quality, but alot of people may not want it simply because its not stock. Personally, I'd rather buy a stock one.

Have you ever considered returning it to stock and selling the parts separately?

Yeah it was taken at Gibbons Park in London. I'm now living downtown Toronto. My insurance skyrocketed when I moved, and I literally only drive it every other week to get groceries. So really, it's not worth the cost of keeping.

Thanks for the input so far guys. I appreciate it!

20,000 has possible if you wait for awhile, maybe the right guy will come around. But with those mods.. it won't appeal to a lot of people. I'm with Mike, return it to stock and sell the aftermarket parts and you'll probably make close to $20,000 with everything sold. It may take awhile though

I just sold my 1.6EL and thats what I did. I removed $4500 worth of mods and sold them for $4000, then sold the car stock with alarm for $5500.

Its really the only way you'll re-coup the money you spent on mods and its both easier to sell the mods and easier to sell the car this way. You just have to be firm on the prices you set, there are so many ****ing low ballers who can't read "firm" and that need a smack on this site and others that it gets annoying.

lowballers

Car looks nice and clean! I think 20 is a little high! But I think that the MODS might not help your sale. I agree that i just don't see someone buying a car thats done or half done!!! Most of the fun is doing the MODS...... making stuff fit...... going for that test drive with your new parts. Try and part the car out then you should have no problem selling it.

realistically speaking most you will see is 15 grand.
for anything over a person can opt for a 2002 rsx type s instead.

exactly....

your mods in my mind, lower the value of the vehicle (specially a relatively new one)....if you have teh stock parts it may be worth putting them back on (doesn't sound that hard)....

On of the EP3's from that anti-street racing thing (can't remember the acronym) was for sale for around $22 000 for quite a while, not sure what ended up happening with it.

Opinions are all over the map on this one. Posted the same question on EPhatch as well, and the replies have been similar. Guess I won't know for sure unless I try selling it, and I'm still unsure if I'm ready to let go of her.

Ed...on this board...for some reason I can't remember what his board name is, he sold his EP hatch and it was modified more than yours. I'm not sure how long it took him, or if put his car back to stock in order to sell it.

If he doesn't reply in this thread, someone might be able to post what his board name is, so you can send him a PM.
