why are ppl beating down EGs? lol they are great cars.

Bro you know yourself and your situation better then any of us here.

U really need to see where you are financially, emotionally and physically in life. If your working paycheck by paycheck n u got loans or something then Id say part out.

But honestly...if you have to stop and reconsider if its "worth" doing up your car... then u shouldnt be doing it up at all.

You either you do or you dont, cuz money will be an issue for everyone along the way aslong as you dont have loaded parents. You need to make up your mind and figure out what will make you happier. A ride that is modified to your liking, or a stock ride that you pretty much fully loaded?

*As long as your ride makes you happy, it doesnt matter what everyone else thinks*

if you still do decide to part out..leme know.

Proud EG owner

POOOOH NAAAAAH KNEEEEEE

That's my contribution to this waste of bandwith.

If you can afford to mod your car, then get'er done. Otherwise, use a more economical means of transportation.

i have an eg, i'm deciding wheither to continue to dump money into the paint and do a swap or just get a 99-00 EK but i've already dumped like 4gs into my car so i don't know if i can let it go. egs are sick but when you still have so much $$ to dump into it, it makes you think that you can dump it into another newer car.

Parts you spent on an EG could be transferred to 99-00, so you don't lose much.

Its a hobby, you gotta spend money to do the things you enjoy. Photography, boating, snowboarding, whatever...people spend crazy amounts of money on their hobbies, this is no different. You're not in it to make money, just try not to lose your shirt in the process....

yea...its a given that every dollar you put in...you'll be lucky to get half the value back when you sell your car. So you may aswell keep it.

But honestly...it all goes back to the owner...do u have the time n money? do u want to get your hands dirty or are you fine just being half satisfied.

heres a solution!

Go to autotrader.ca and buy urself a eg that either has a motor already in it for around $2000-4000 or sumthing that is a little bit more honestly i check the trader online every thursday and friday and to tell u the truth all the eg's RIGHT NOW r cheap i saw a jdm for 3500 come on 3500 u can probably bargain down wit the owner for 3000! i would if i were this guy! but there r the ups and downs of buying used modded cars so BBW!

Obviously the decision is mine, and if you think its such a waste of bandwith having this post then why post in it??? Just wasting more space arn't you??

Anyways, dont get me wrong I love my EG, but exactly like badkaram posted, modified cars are being sold cheaper and cheaper so yes I have the time and yes I have the money but is it worth it, if in the end I have a car I like but when I go to move on and sell it I get a fraction of the money I put into it. Thats where I'm at right now.

Right now I'm leaning towards its not worth it putting in over $15,000 into a car I will probably end up getting $6000 for in the end. Not that I wouldnt love the car. To be it just looks like I've thrown away $9G's. But I guess thats the type of person I am.

I dont know anymore, but by the way some people on here are posting I guess you should close this thread, I wonder when people got to be so quick to make negative posts. If you dont like it, dont read it, dont post in it. But hey, do what you want, keep adding more negativity to this world, everyone knows we need it.

Money come, money go. If it ain't spent on car, it is gonna be spent on something else. Investment? House down payment? That's what everyone says - I have a more important issue to deal with in life.

But this is part of your life, this is who you are, what you do, and what you like. People who manage their money well can save money, and have fun at the same time - you work hard and you play harder.

A certain group of people who don't manage their income are the ones that end up parting out cars and worry about how much they can get back to cover the other hole. Those who plan ahead will keep the parts, and find ways of earning more money and complete the extra task. Now I am not saying everyone is like this, but you gotta admit, people like these do exist.

Kids who sell their car to go back to school. Priorities? Hardly any.
