Your transmission fluid takes even longer to properly warm up and rid itself of moisture.
Also, you need to run your exhaust at normal operating termperatures for more than that 7 to 10 minutes to fully expel any mositure that may have accumulated and condensed within your exhaust system since the last time you ran your car. The one thing that promotes exhaust system rot better than moisture in a bone cold exhaust is warmed moisture in a slightly warmed-up exhaust.
Don't you supposed auto enthusiasts ever listen to the experts? The mantra for years has been - those short trips to the corner store are the fastest possible way to kill your car. If you're going to start your car, make sure you start it for good reason.
