Telus is becoming garbage too
#24
I've been with Telus for over 3 years now and using my same plan, they keep asking me to change it, but I love it, it works perfectly with my school/work schedules.
$25 per month
--> per second billing
--> 100 mins day time
--> unlimited weeknight 6pm-8am
--> unlimited weekends
--> free lunch calling 12pm-1pm
--> call display
--> call forwarding
--> voice mail
--> 3 way calling
So my bill comes to $37 per month including service fee and taxes, plus long distance if any.
I've never had any trouble with Telus, their customer service is great, I've never been unfairly charged and their coverage (cuz now their share their networks with Bell) is better than ever. Also, Plus, when I bought my phone, Telus or Clearnet at the time, had some nice phones.

I'm with Fido for more than 2 years and fairly happy.
$30 per month
--> per sec billing
--> 100 mins day time
--> Unlimited weeknights 7pm - 8am
--> Unlimited weekends
--> Call Display
--> Voicemail
--> Call conferencing
--> Call Forwarding
and I currently get $30 for every person I refer to Fido right now, the new person also gets $25 credit. Pretty neat. Besides, I think Fido has got the coolest phones.

Out of 21 cellular providers in North America Verizon is #1, Fido 19th place, Rogers 15th place, Bell Mobility 5th place and Telus #2... I'd say we didn't do bad in the last quarter... These stats are taken form an a cellular organization to see how all cellular companies are doing in the market... They compare number of customers, churn rate (loss of customers), revenue, VPN (Virtual Private Networks) and blah blah blah blah.... We were off by 1 point to tie Verizon... Also remember you get what you pay for....

Ok, I'm no longer with Rogers, so I really don't care about the numbers, but i have to set you straight.
How many customers does Telus have? How many does Rogers have?
Need I say more?

So what? The study above doesn't prove quality of service or customer satisfaction levels...... The above is USELESS for a customer in toronto. 1st we don't have all these other providers and 2ndly should I care that telus makes more revenue that fido? NO!.
Post some other facts next time like; quality of reception in the area, comparison chart of long distance rates, voice mail retention time and length of voice mail deposits etc.

$29/month
plus all the other crap like access fees......911 access fee......taxes.....ect...
My bill usually comes to around $40-$45 a month. There's better deals out there, but they don't compare to the coverage of the Bell network.....but I do miss the # I used to call to see what time it was (with rogers), to see if it was 6pm yet so I could make free calls.
Hint hint gatherer........forward that info to the big guys.....tell them that you are constantly hearing this from the poeple that call in.
It's not that hard.....all they have to do is add it to the automated greeting we hear when you call in. Make it the first thing you hear.

PULOVR,
if you look at the time on your display it's the exact time of the system here so if it's 6:00pm on the display then it's 6:00pm on our switchs and the Call detail records will show 6:00pm if you make a call at that time and you'll get billed accordingly....
does that help

All I have to say is I have had Bell, Rogers and I now have Telus. I think Rogers sucks, Bell was good when I had it, but I don't like Bell (had problems with them and my land line, switch my phone line to Sprint, cheaper and they are awesome). After reading all of the comments, I called Telus to see what plan would be better for me. I was on a month to month contract and it was costing me, (didn't want to commit in case I decided to get rid of the phone) even though I tried not using the phone during the day. I switched it from my 35/month to 40/month on two year contract, I get 350 minutes free, free weeknights after 6, free weekends, free call foward, call waiting, caller id and voicemail allowing up to 25 messages.
In the end it should work out cheaper as I was using it during the day and was costing me. My lasts bill was 112.00. My average time for the last 3 months during the day was 118 mins. So, with this plan, the 350 minutes should cover me, and I asked after taxes, how much without going over my minutes am I looking at. It comes out to 60 bucks. I can live with that.
Best to work out with who ever you are with what your calling habits are and figure out what plan works best for you. Getting the cheapest they have doesn't mean it works out that way.....

telus was better, but its still the best imo, and besides..they MATCH any other companies plans, just look at their site...
the trick is to get one of their promo plans they have once in a while, then stick with it, becuse if you change again you loose your chance to have it again...
i got one called "The Big Deal"
i get 200 anytime
100 long distance weekends
unlimited weekends
caller id, yada yada
for 25 a month, plus i keep getting 1 year contracts, and they keep giving me an extra 50 min a month, to total 250 min a month... for 25 bucks a month it aint bad!

haccorder...where do you work?
If you work for canadian tire...shoppers drug mart...or whereever I can get you coperate plans at rogers for $20 a month gets u unlimited evening and weekend and I think 150 minutes, but it depends if you work for government that plan can be as low as $15.
Telus is all about money, notice how the only fones u can use with them is the one they sell?

civicoverdose pmed you.....
Ok heres a little tip for anyone that wants to join rogers or is a new customer.
Rogers will be having their new 850BAND network towers, I dont know where you have heard that rogers suck but they are good unless you compare it to fido. Fido has really good coverage right now but when rogers new towers go up and YOU HAVE A FONE that has 850 mhz band your reception will be really good. If you want to know what fones have this pm me, I know some fones that are free for a 2 year contract

i got rogers, i pay $37.03 a month tax in. i got 100day and 1000 night and weekends, and i got caller ID for free.
Only thing that pisses me off is cause here in Windsor we are close to the border, and phone picks up a US roaming once in a while when i go by the river, and than i have to call and bitch on them.
And i was at US last weekend and paid 8min roaming, 14 bucks.
that sucks

the churn rate is the percentage of your total customer base that is leaving the company ... it's basically customers leaving over total customer base x 100% = churn
and with that said it doesn't matter what the size of the customer base is ... while yes rogers has a smaller base then telus or bell they do have a higher churn rate then either company.
so even though rogers has a smaller customer base a higher chuck of their customer base is leaving that company....
make sense? the percentage becomes the common comparasion ground between the companies ... since it elimanates a dependance on the size of the customer base.
