Teg AWD conversion

Teg AWD conversion
I just browsed the latest issue of Honda Tuning...
They have an article describing the process of bolting on CRV parts to a Integra for a AWD conversion.
Just wondering what other people think about this, and how adaptable this process would be to a 5G civic hatch?
Being that the CRV is based off a civic chassis, wouldn't it be easier to do the conversion?
Also, does anyone know the rough $$ for the CRV parts??? I'm tempted to do this conversion for my car if it yields performance benefits and if it's practical.

i read the article...
they didn't even mention the crx.... i remember they mentioned that in europe honda did make an integra with d series engine and 4 wheel drive... but i think they used the crv drive train since the car already had a b18c5....
also you know how the crv is based on the civic... well the integra is pretty much the same as a civic... except for more hp... bigger brakes etc...

Oops!
I meant CRV not CRX ... confusing as they're both based off of the civic chassis.
Anyway, I've corrected my original post to avoid future confusion.

That's what I was thinking too... I could use the extra traction in the winter, for the 5% of the time where our roads are snowed in... also, with real time AWD true drifting could be done in a civic!!!

For an EK Sedan, you can use the CRV parts directly because the wheel base is the same. The parts for the conversion roughly range from 3000 to 6000 depending on the condition of these parts (new or used). I actually bought the kit and that's why I needed to sell my turbo kit to come up with the rest of the money for the conversion. Unfortunately, I don't know whether or not you can link up the transfer case to any other engine besides the B20. In any case, my application will involve the B20 anyways so, there will be no guessing. The only problem I'm facing is where to redirect the midpiping for the exhaust...thinking of running it down the passenger side of the car...dunno yet. Still, a lot of planning is needed. I have all winter to think about it. Heh.

Cool, man.
So you're actually going to do the conversion?
I assume you have an EK sedan?
Can you describe more about your planned swap?
Sounds very interesting!
