it wont come to canada.
reason being it doesnt have airbags and other minimum safety standards.
the nano was built to show that a cheap production car is now available.
for it to still make it into north american soil it needs a ton of other stuff still.
toyota and gm are already in the works for a cheap under 5 grand car aswell.

reason being is that you tend to have more problems with the older cars. lack of parts in stock/price of them. reliability is also sometimes a factor no matter if it's a honda, toyota or anyother make for that matter.

disposable cars is the way of the future.
less maintenance and life expectancy of 5 years to serve its purpose and then it gets recycled which means less emissions, less pollution in general and less space these things occupy.

for an average family consisting of two adults and two young kids in india riding dangerously on a bike in mind blowing traffic, this car is the answer and thats what the idea is behind its production.

what i don't get is the people who would still rather consider buying a car worth $5k brand new when there are plenty of cars worth much more they could get for a similar price used. i guess those same people make the north american market for this; lazy people who wouldn't buy a used car because it might need a thing or two replaced...

so i got 5 years out of a comfortable car with power everything before the A/C quit and i still got almost double the $800 KBB value when i traded it, with the busted A/C, for the civic. the cost of gasoline over time may have equalled it out to the same cost as one of these cars, but it was still bigger and badder while it lasted
well i'm not surprised; i kept up with the maintenance and it wasn't used frequently for unexpectedly long commutes. it irks me to know there are people out there who are too lazy (or ignorant, but that would be a product of laziness anyhow) to do maintenance for themselves, and too cheap to pay a shop to do it, so they'll just go down to the market for a disposable car and throw it out like a mcdonald's wrapper when it dies after a few years of poor maintenance and performance
but yeah you're definitely right about lazy, ignorant people being the future. all the smart people will be lifting the money from their pockets and ****ing the rest of the world over
