switching cars/ownership
im trading my monte carlo for a crx soon, wen we go to change ownerships will they charge us tax even tho no money was involved?
yes you will be charged tax based on the book value of the car ...

Make sure you write bill of sales for like 100 bux for each other, the crx should have no book value on it but I am not sure about the monte, this way with the no book value you only paying 8 dollars in taxes if that is indeed the case
oh ok good idea, thx man...cuzz idun really wanna have to pay taxs evne tho were just doing a straight trade with no money involved...thx alot
I'm pretty sure the CRX will have a book value on it if its 90-91, 88-89 dont now I think...My 90 Civic had a book value still so I dont see why a 90crx wouldnt...well anyways the book value on my 90civic was 1200bucks and I had a bill of sale for 100bucks...if you want it below book value u need to have it appraised and bring the appraisal in to the ministry with you other than that be prepared to pay the GST on the book value
aw damn, ya the cars a 88 crx si
Cinikal- my 91 civic had no book value so thats strange how yours would, also maybe the fact that mine is classed as a cx and your maybe a dx or si...
