you should be able to run mid 14s

Cost? Depends if you do it yourself...
anywhere from $2K - $4K based on a first gen motor, and how much work you're willing to do yourself and who you go to.

Buy a stock civic and do all the mods yourself. So then you know what has been done to it.

b16's , b18c (gsr) , B18c5(Type R) , H22 , b18b (LS)

all drop nicely into a 92+ hatch

The b16's u'r seeing at the junkyards sound like 1st generation. $700 usally mean they're 1st gens (92 or older ) 2nd gens usually go for $2500-3500.

$700 might mean you're only getting the engine. No tranny ecu wire harness etc. ...

As said earlier, I would buy a cheap hatch (CX, DX) and drop in a new engine. This way you know exactly what you have when you're done. If you buy one with a swap already done then you're taking your chances.

Check out some of our authorized shops ie RT motorsports , KSR etc . they will be able to help you out.

Hope this helps

A B16a2 into a 92 H/B will be around $4000-$4500 installed... The motor is about $3000-$3500 or so... That comes with engine, tranny, ecu... but you still need axles, shift linkage and some other misc things. So... when all said and done.. You're looking at around those numbers.

First off, if your 17
I think you should just stick with a stock engine rather than putting all your money into swapping. I'm sure you still got school to pay for which will be coming up some time soon.
Second, we don't need anymore kids screwing up insurance rates as it is
