you can put it anywhere

i put it on the centre vent with zip ties cause i was paranoid about drilling into my car if i ever removed it

Couldn't you just swap in a cluster with a tach from the same gen civic?

Well, it's not that it really matters...it's just if something that big is gonna be in my car I'd want it to be pretty.

when switching, say a 5gen si cluster, into my cx(came wit no tach) is it hard to hook up the tach to work in my car?

its pure plug and play and it takes about 3 mins to pop the old one out. You can even take you speedometer out (for km purposes) and swap it with the one that comes in the si cluster, dude its super easy. pm me if u need any more help

wreckers or the boards

best bet is wreckers as they will price a bit better

some people think there gold and charge way to much for them
