suga drivers

So today I went into suga to visit a few friends, and traffic was horrible btw, around 4-ish. As soon as i arrived into the city, I immediate recall the horrible drivers as I was getting off the off-ramp. Tailed by a white charger driven by a fat lady, she maddly honked at a 1.6el after merging on to the next lane right when the light changed from red to green. Not even for 2 seconds. And just at the second stop light, all the cars in front of me and beside me runs the yellow.
Now, im already someone who wants to drive rather than needs to so im not a slouch. Just for the few hours there, i noticed the suga drivers are horrible. Just plainly reckless. Toronto drivers I've noticed, have become more subtitle. You still get occasional hooligans but not as intense as suga drivers ranging from all ages. All of them have to run yellows, have to merge to the lesser car lanes, and has to tail everybody they come by. I got cut off by a big white truck leaving that place, had to slam on my brakes.

What are your thoughts driving there? I wanna hear those of you who live there...

I would ha e to disagree there.. I drive to toronto on a regular basis and the drivers there are 10 times worst than the drivers at mississauga... I m not even saying mississauga is good as it has gotten worst ove rthe years but nowhere near as bad as toronto.... And this is from someone that drives around missisauga and toronto all the time ( 800kms a week just between both)

But i would have to agree that mississauga is getting worse lately , but that is because it is becominb more populated ...

^^drivers from sauga and all over the place end up in toronto.
Bad drivers are everywhere. Any money there is one bad driver down the street from you [where ever you live]

obviously there is bad drivers everywhere .. I m just referring to the majority of bad drivers , in general toronto is a lot worst than missisauga.. I seen tons of bad drivers in mississauga but not as much as in toronto...

I dont think mississauga will ever get as bad as toronto.. This is mostly due to several reasons . Mississauga does not have the following problems

Street cars
Bikers ( bicycles)
Smaller streets
Population (people crossing the street anywhere)
More traffic lights
Condition of the road
street parking
CABS !

There are probably more , but i can only think of those one for now

O, when i say toronto i mean north end.. because thats where i live... Like North York and Scarborough, mainly steeles no where wouth of finch. Except mayby the 401... actually im mostly in markham. O markham road drivers are super aggressive, lots of cops too.

Yea when your talking about DT driving, its pretty tense. I try to stay away if i can. To me, the drivers i cam across were just reckless and no skills. But for me its biased since im only there for a short period of time usually during rush hour.

Missi used to be so nice - peaceful and quiet. Clean and smooth road. Been in it for 23 years. Now it's one huge Wal Mart.

rick10 02-May-2010 11:40 AM

^^^ that is because the city is growing , and there are also too many new buildings , it seems like there is 10 new buildings every year !!! .. I m from downtown mississauga though , it is still pretty peaceful outside downtown mississauga ( erin mills area , winston churchchill )

When someone says toronto, it doesn't necessarily mean the downtown area of toronto.

when someone that lives in the GTA area says toronto , it usually means downtown area .. When someone in the usa says toronto it means gta area...

Mississauga technically belongs to toronto too right? GTA area ( greater toronto area)...

lol, i couldn't resist. Dunno how many of you got that last post but yea, like i said. Im usually in the Markham area, so never thought about it too broadly as to extending it to the heart of the city. I was just comparing suburb to suburb

so you are saying that if i live in mississauga and you live in brampton , i should go ahead and tell you i live in toronto ??? LOL .... Thats odd because anytime I meet someone from the gta they tell me i live in markham , brampton , richmond hill , scarborough etc, etc ,etc... I have never encounter anyone from the GTA area telling another person from the GTA area " oh yea i live in toronto"

And not , when you tell someone in usa or any other country around the world i live in toronto , it means i live in the GTA area , because most people outside canada and toronto dont know the smaller cities suchs as north york , markham , mississauga ....

Just like when I meet someone from montreal , they just say montreal .. I m sure if they meet someone else from montreal they ll tell them exactly where in montreal

I think you got things mix up ..

^ You must have seen me then because I do it all the time....green means go and yellow means go faster.

Mississauga ain't that bad to drive in, I've lived here all my life....the only problem is it's growing so fast which means an influx of cars on the road. Winston Churchill used to be a nice drive from Clarkson to Meadowvale, but now its a disaster, there are WAYYY too many stop lights.

jdm ek4 06-May-2010 03:53 AM

I like it when you get that driver that comes from far behind and cuts through lanes left and right but when the next lights come up, im right beside them. Lol i just laugh and shake my head at them when they look. lol

HabaneroRed06Si 12-May-2010 10:30 PM

I'm pretty sure I'm the first guy to drive on the yellow strip into the left turn lane and then cut back into the traffic to avoid cars.
