Structure of TCC

Just thought I would share with you all, from guest to paid member, what is expected from you on this site and what TCC can offer. It seems to be lost as of late.

Just wanted to start it off that TCC is a club first and foremost (business was developed to make the club functional).

TCC Guest:

You must:

1. Follow the rules of the site.
2. Follow the moral rule of decency to your fellow man (woman).
3. Register a name.

TCC provides you:

1. These free forums to post your chatter, questions, for sale items, ect.

TCC Member:

You must:

1. Follow the rules of the site.
2. Follow the moral rule of decency to your fellow man (woman).
3. Register a name.
4. Pay a membership fee, and renew yearly.

TCC provides you:

1. These free forums to post your chatter, questions, for sale items, ect.
2. Other forums for your posts.
3. 2 side window stickers.
4. a membership card to get discounts at shops. (sometimes this is difficult to facilitate, but most shops will call someone to verify your membership anyway)
5. You get show entries planned and coordinated for you so all you need to do is show up and pay (most are discounted from the show for our size and/or negotiated by us).
6. You get planned other events through TCC planned for you, such as BBQ, holiday dinner and awards, ect. Sometimes these are free, sometimes its not possible.
7. Any other benefit that TCC can plan or afford.

You are not obligated to use any of these services, but they are there for your enjoyment.

TCC Show Team Member:

Same as TCC Member for now, but will change if TCC does sponsorship arrangements in the future.

TCC Moderator:

You must:

1. Follow the rules of the site.
2. Follow the moral rule of decency to your fellow man (woman).
3. Register a name.
4. Pay a membership fee, and renew yearly.
5. Enforce the rules in your section.

TCC Provides you:

1. Same as TCC Members.
2. Access to administrative functions of the site, and an additional forum .

TCC Club Admins:

You must:

1. Follow the rules of the site.
2. Follow the moral rule of decency to your fellow man (woman).
3. Register a name.
4. Pay a membership fee, and renew yearly.
5. Enforce the rules in your section.
6. Maintain your the outside assignments you volunteered for.

TCC Provides you:

1. Same as TCC Moderators.
2. Access to more administrative functions of the site, and an additional forum .

These above two positions are volunteer spots and you really should like working with people, and like working with TCC. These are tough posts and really dedicated people do this. These positions are to service guests, members and administrators. They can be rewarding or terribly disturbing, however you choose to look at it.

TCC Administrators:

You must:

1. Set the direction for TCC, make sure all parts are functioning for the benefits of users, members, moderators, club admins, advertisers, vendors, ect.
2. TCC is your responsibility 100%.

TCC provides you:

1. Complete access to all the sites administrative features.

i can't say how it will be in the future, but it used to be that if you applied and you passed the application, the mods and admins would have a discussion as to who they think would be appropriate for the positions and why...

you don't want to just hand out positions to people who aren't interested enough to even fill in an application that takes 5 min, cuz then they won't do as good a job...

My idea was to cut admin positions down to 4, completely describe the responsibilities and remove their moderation access (except for those that have a forum to moderate, such as the one handling business). These postions would probably contract for 12 months, and if the owners wish to extend they can. Positions open will go to member application if they are not filled.

Having 12 application processed moderator positions that are reapplied for every year. Those in the position can reapply too, but do the process again (so we don't get disinterest in the position). Paid members can apply, and those that get the position and offer the time can have free renewal for the year.

This was just my thought.

edit - those admin positions would not include Jeff, Marty or myself

I'm thinking the four would be:

Business Manager
Events Coordinator (for events put on by TCC like the upcoming BBQ)
Member Services Coordinator
Show Team Organizer (person who contacts outside events and works discounts, and organizes club participation)

Would you like the domain or the domain and database, or the domain, database and corporation?
