did u guys hear about the new streetrace program that the popo's supposidly released this morning, they say there are too many accidents in Toronto and mostly caused by street racing. They also say there are an estimated 1600 or over modified vehicles in Toronto alone!

I guess it's sort of like the PACER program but more strict! PACER is to teach people aabout modifying cars and racing on the track-technically the "nice" way!
But the streetrace program, I heard that they will pull over any modified vehicle make sure there are no illegal modifications! basically they wanna ground all potential street racers!

I, in this case have no problem, since my car is modified totally legally! and it is time to stop street racing! on sunday night a C5 was racing a stingray and caused a major accident! thats what probrably put them over edge!

The only thing I don't like bout this is the fact that I will be pulled over, over, and over again, having them ask the same questions..over and over(like i'm not used to that)

Just kills my time if u ask me! if ur scared that simply means somethings wrong with u or ur car! true?

ERASE. all police (york, toronto, opp, waterloo, etc) are going to be handing out tickets like mad, so that means i'm sure many of us on here will recieve a few tickets. street racing itself will also be massive tickets but thats ok, they deserve em.

i just hope the cops don't go crazy with the lowered cars just because they think they will be streey racing.

if a cop accuses me of getting my car ready for racing i will laugh and say what am i going to race with a stock D16Y8...a shopping cart, maybe a smart car, please.

yeah but they always complain about lowered cars!! my cars pretty damn low but my tire doesn't touch the fender so its perfectly legal!
2 years ago day of darknights 1:30 am I picked up my car for DKN5 and i was pulled over immediately when i hit a main street! and thats what he said, where are u going at this hour? are you aware of a car show this weekend? i'm gonna have to check your car, it seems very low!!

I was polite and said go aead and was cleared to leave within 10 mins. no hassle!

keep a printout of the HTA stuff thats in the tickets/legal section of this forum in your car

i think this whole thing is bs, they were saying they are targeting civics, tegs, and sum toyotas(all jap cars) their lookin for cars with exhausts and intakes. what really pisses me off is the fact their gonna pull you over for having any sort of aftermaket exhaust and try to pin something on you. total descrimination. Just cause you throw a pipe on ur car and an intake dosnt mean ur goin mad street racing. just member to ALWAYS take ur tickets to court.

Ture that! i never get pulled over and harrased by cops. I got a speeding tickert once with and old beater, it had no muffler and reeked like the good and the cop knocked it down to no points for me.

lol yea Iv been lucky here in hamilton too.....Iv driven beside many cops with my truck banging and booming, you guys that come to the meet know how loud it gets haha

It's already started for me.. I got a ticket about a week and a half ago for unnecessary noise for my muffler.. he was going to give me a second ticket for an illegal muffler until I challenged him.. I asked him whats illegal about it and all he could say was "its not a stock exhaust" and I said that doesn't mean it's illegal.. anyways he 'let me off' on that ticket.. and gave me a warning that I will get bit for it later this summer.. but I still got the unnecessary noise one.. I even have a silencer in the exhaust..

i'm scared of cops. is there anything you can do about them harrasing you? like getting their badge number and reporting them or what? i hate the cops around my area, bunch of racist bastards.

yeh eraser is new, the old program they had was called Pacer, they went around warning kids not to street race and how to properly mod your car. erase is pretty much cops gangin up to wipe out the import enthusiest. lol

no it isnt it started last year.maybe they are more knowledgablethis year with my old EG6 i got pulled over all the time but not one ticket and you could say it was modded even breathers on the intake and valve cover they just didn't know what to look for but this year they will be more educated.
