^^^ I remember that place... everyone with their walkie talkies...

I personally don't like being labelled because I drive a modfied civic that I'm automatically a street racer... you should see the looks I get driving to work everyday on the QEW. These people look at me like I just killed someone... When all I do is show my car, it's not even track worthy lol... All show no go... even the people at work have asked me if I street race.. talk about dicrimination... most of the street racing is done in high end cars that Mummy and Daddy own.. crack down on those cars that are rolling out of production with 400HP not my little civic...

I understand why they would kick people out of 403/Dundas timmies.. but what? now we can't even chill and drink a coffee without being hassled? I agree if your car is illegally modded and it's a danger to the streets, ticket them or yank it off the road, but do you know how rusted, junkie vans and other cars I see driving on the hwy doing 140km/h??? tons!

As for being labeled, it sucks but what are you gonna do?
People keep being dumba$$' like the 19 with is 06 si then eveyone is going to be labeled.

how many people actually buy coffee at tims when there? 10% maybe...and then the mess of the lot after everybody leaves cuz nobody knows how to use garbage cans...plus its a parking lot for patrons not a hang out for hooligans

the lot tcc uses for their weekly meets is different in that they have permission and for the most part no hooligan action happens.

random known "street race" hang outs like 403/dundas timmies are problems bottom line...nobody wants people there other than the people loitering and their friends

Can you prove it that they don't?

The cops are f@cked in the head. Every one there just have timmie's and hang out. there nothing wrong with that. The cops really need to get a ****ing life, and do there job right.

No there's nothing wrong with hanging out at a th having a coffee. However the first person got busted for no LP light and no insurance card. Then later went on how his civic would be raped. hmmmmmmm I think the police are doing there job. If your car is modded & it's not legal you should be ticketed.

What does having a modded car have to do with getting a full car look over for a peanut bulb and a insurance card that was expired, even though I found the right one as the cop drove away... On top of that I had 3 other not expired insurance cards for my other cars that he wouldn't even accept, same policy number and everything.

The reason I said my civic would get raped is because it's turbo'd not because it's a danger on the road, hell I haven't driven it on the streets in like 3 months

I've seen like 5 accidents in that lot, I've seen too many idiots tear down dundas and even more tear around the parking lot...its about time they got in there and kicked yall out!
yeah there's lots of dummies in that lot.. some guy in a blue subaru almost took off my front bumper last summer tearing around in there.. most of the time I don't even look twice at that lot.. if I go in I just grab a coffee and roll out unless I'm actually meeting someone there..

anyways the cops go through there every once in a while.. it's not like this is the first time..

That has nothing to do with street racing. Most of the death that are happening are from people speeding not racing, most of them being a single car.

The fact of the matter is, anyone can street race...whether it be in a Civic, your Dad's BMW or your Hyundai Pony winter beater. To label 'modified' cars as street racing cars is wrong. Anyone can do it. If you want to check for unsafe or road worthy cars, at least call it that and don't associate it with street racing just to give you an excuse to do so. Profiling is wrong. And that is what they are doing in that parking lot - profiling. Just because I'm going to pull into that parking lot, doesn't mean I'm going to street race but, on the other hand, you're guilty by association. If you don't want that kind of treatment, go to another Timmies. Afterall, there are about 5000 locations or something like that in the GTA area. You don't have to go there specifically. They are treating street racing like it's a plague. Actually, in all the news broadcasts of street racers this and street racers killing that and street racers causing accidents here, has there actually been mention of cars modified??? I've only seen regular cars claiming to be street racing - like your mom's grand am or you dad's corsica etc etc. When have we actually seen on the news or in the paper a fully modified car (body kits, rims etc) involved in a street race accident or death?? I haven't!!! Thanks to the media and hollywood, it's become apparent to the majority that it could raise a problem. Unfortunately, no one's made a movie about people who just mod because they like it and who choose not to street race. But, then of course, you wouldn't sell any tickets. So where does that leave people who mod for looks or just enjoyment? - in the **** that's where.

And don't get me started on drunk driving. Regulations on drunk driving are no where near acceptable. Someone said earlier about the driver spending thousands of dollars fighting it in court and learning his/her lesson just by doing that -- that's a load of bunk!!! My ex-fiance was killed by a street racing drunk bastard driving a Ford Taurus. And what did he get??? 10 year sentence serving 8 years with fines. In another few years he'll be out of jail driving again and so where is that going to leave me??? You really think people like me and her family would be satisfied with a sentence like that? **** that ****! I've quit drinking entirely mainly for that reason and if you're going to drink, for christ's sake don't drive. You'd have to be some waterhead to do that. And if you're that kind of waterhead, you deserve everything that's coming to your stupid ***.

my 2 cents

Cheers,
Buddah.

We all know where they went.

Personally, I won't go t 403/dundas timmys anymore. I used to enjoy going there, since i know most of the people there. But now I fear of going because I don't want to be hit with a "improper muffler" ticket. Funny.. I see people with huge exhaust leaks driving around all day and they never get an excessive noise ticket or improper muffler ticket. Their exhaust leak is louder than my exhaust, but I'll get hit before them. If they want to do safety checks at timmys, do all the cars there.. I see cars leave my shop all the time with burnt bulbs, bald tires, leaking fluids, etc. Those cars are more un-safe then my civic by a long-shot.

They need to get their priorities straight, cracking done with tickets will just stop people from modifying their cars cosmetic wise, it still won't stop people from racing or driving un-safe.

"Oh no I got a ticket for my rear tailight being out, now i'm not going to street race?" who the **** thinks like that? Street Racing is a problem.. but doing these safety checks won't do ****.

Again, well said.

I've had a couple of friends get nailed with drunk driving a ton of times and they always got off lightly until one of them pulled a Sonny Bonno with his Corsica into a tree.

Even out here near Mosport, A couple of Durham cops busted a couple of rednecks for racing with their trucks recently.

The rednecks and thier trucks out here are ****ing nuts all year round. In the summer they ride your bumper, In the winter they do donuts and land themselves into a ditch.
