street racing is retarded.

if you have no consideration for your own health and safety, I don't care. BUT, putting the health and safety of those around you at risk - you deserve everything you get.

Pulling a car off the road because a cop has a hardon to tell his buddies at the station he had some kids car crushed - that's gonna be huge in the courts.

and, not even racers. the morons on cells, doing their makeup, 6 kids with no seatbelts in minivans....list goes on and on.

Apparently, if you travel 50 over now, it is considered racing - no matter what your excuse is.

as per a discussion on GTAMC:
i say we all do 100km....at the same time, on the same highway, in all lanes
they want compliance, let's give them compliance

this would be great gong up the 400 this weekend (long weekend), cuz you know law enforcement will be out in droves

i never said the idea was original..

and that was 2 guys..
you don't think 100 or so "tuners" (wired for video of course) wouldn't stand out just a little more than 2 guys? especially with all the air time Bryant and Fantino are getting atm

^ bryant a SOB anyways
but with your idea we would all get tickets for obstructing traffic.
Just like all those MFers who cruise in the fast lane and dont move over. There is a 300 dollar ticket for that with 3 points.

so we all drive 102 kmh
when we get tickets for obstructing traffic we argue (in court) we should be getting tickets for speeding

did anyone hear what happened to those two guys??
i'd be interested to know

btw, this idea seems to be gaining momentum atm from tuners to old skool, anyone tired of being thrown into the same class as a bunch of SRing morons

It'll get media attention for sure.
Those guys also got media attention but pretty much nothing was done about it.

One guy was doing 100 on the trans canada highway, got a ticket for impeding traffic, later on he got a speeding ticket for doing 110 or 115 i think and the officer said even if you're doing 1km/h over you deserve the ticket.

to protest, him and a buddy of his both drove side by side at exactly 100km/h on the trans canada highway and it was backed up for a few kilometers before the cops got em off the road. they both got tickets for impeding traffic and thats pretty much it.
didnt get as much attentions as he hopes but still got some.

if you guys do it, all it would lead to is most of you getting tickets and crying about it. then everyone getting different penalties in court and more people crying about it.
it would definitely get media attention, but pointless because it doesn't really address the street racing issue, and all it accomplishes is **** off a bunch of people.
and as far as the media attention goes... i dont think that "bunch of stupid ricers jam up the 401 in protest of the new law" will go too well with most people because they already don't like protesters and ricers.

Why are so many of you guys worried? If you do 150+, street race, and etc then I understand.

they are worried about getting their precious rice-rockets crushed before they hit the roads.
I dont think its much of a concern simply because i doubt it will ever come to that

well according to these guys throwing out these new (imo, illegal) laws it's the ricers and hot rodders that are the only ones speeding (note: this is all pre: Fantino's latest addition to Bryant's media grab) and are the ones causing the accidents....
so, if we were to travel at say 102 there is no possible way we could be impeding traffic
causing a back up would prove our point that it's NOT just "us", but everyone that is acting unlawfully
it would prove too that the speed limits are flawed and do need to be increased
i haven't heard Fantino commenting on the recommended move to a limit of 120 any more tho since all this came about
guess Bryant had a chance to finally read the constitution and the charter in the last couple of days too, cuz he's gone into hiding since his little rant about assuming guilt w/o trial

imo, to Bryant:
get more cops on the street, to do battle rather than harrass (ya, don't say funding..i call BS, i paid $50G in taxes alone last year, and that's w/o the tax on tax involved in buying gas)..teach them the law, and remove those laws that are redundant/furthur define those worthy of staying on the books)
choose your enemies by knowing who your enemies are..it's NOT the guys with 500 lb. stereo systems and cars dressed to show..God, how stupid can people in power be?
quit turning JQP against anything with an H symbol on their car..hatred breeds hatred, prejudice breeds injustice, and backing an innocent into a corner breeds an indeterminable reaction

ya, that's all it is..
let them get away with possibly taking our cars
next week they want your house cuz you smoked a doob..definite grow-op and trafficing going on at your place..but you wouldn't fight that possibility would ya

and ya, i definitely have a rice-rocket

what constitutes street-race ready??
a swap??
cold-air??
drop??
chipped??
short-shifter??
turbo/sc??

weird, all legal mods..most even available from the dealer...i know they're all available on my car
