dont really think that would help too much. it would eliminated the organized races for the most part but not random street races/highway pulls. i think on the way home from the track people would be pushing harder than ever

I think it would lower the number of street racing going on it toronto and the area, as then they would have some place to go and race. Even if it was just a 1/8 mile track, it would at least get most people going to the track more then racing on the street.

not unless they made many staright lanes i mean if we can get a big enough piece of land in toronto and build like a bunch of 1 mile straights (even less) we could accomidate the amount of people

you will never abolish street racing, it has been going on for years its nothing new. my parents did it and most likely when i have people they will do it. it has however become more hyped, and i feel more kids are into modifying cars now. building a track will help to some extent. even if it reduces a small proportion it is making a difference. Street racing, I guess, is a major concern but when it comes to most accidents its caused by driver error and driver distractions (cell phones, weather, applying makeup, etc)
but of course you always have the idiots who think they’re 'too fast too furious' and drive like tards, thats just obvious. They weave in and out of traffic, because they look ‘oh so cool’. if they were to open up a track, people would be street racing on their way there and when they were leaving. too many guys (and girls) enjoy the adrenaline rush of racing. nothing is more thrilling then lining up (not that i've never done it lol, its just what i have heard ) i'm sure there are a few, not to point any fingers, who have been street racing who can agree with that.
Something needs to be done to help out with street racing, seeing as it has been in the medias eyes for years now. building a track, without doubt will help out with the speed junkies, therefore I see no problem with a track being built
Cayuga is far we need something closer

Ever been to cayuga before? Specifically friday nights.....its packed and there are huge line-ups. The lines usually move pretty quick, unless a car breaks down and leaves a big mess on the track.
IMO the best night to go is wednesday night.
Being a half-hour away from the track FTMFW!!!!
