i am talking about the neon...not the numbers they put out ..i can build puta carbon fibre wing and a million stickers and nipple lights and a fart exhaust on a dodge shadow with a big block in it....sure it goes fast but it looks like rice...thats my point..all this **** companies are putting out....from factory jumping on teh fast and furious band wagon...its still a ****** neon....turbo or no turbo..

Your argument has no basis.

What is rice about it?

You mean how it's a Neon platform, tuned to become a performence car. It's not a Neon with a slapped on turbo, it's much more.

I really don't understand what you're getting at. Sounds to me like you're just looking at it as a Neon, which it isn't.

Also, saying a 13 sec SRT-4 is still just a peice of **** Neon, can go both ways. Many people think that a 10 second Civic is still just a peice of **** Civic. However, that's pretty ignorant.

well everyone is entitled to their opinion...making a neon fast doesn't hide the fact its a neon....a car that does 13.9 is not a 13 sec car its a 14 sec car....and a 10 second civic is obviously not ****...gettin a civic to 10 sec 1/4 times is impressive...buildin a neon to 14 sec in 1/4 doesn't impress me....but thats me....i think its domestic car companies feeling the heat from japan automakers taking away their youth market....and they try and slap some big bumpers and rims witha better motor in a neon and call it a srt-4....they are just jumping on with fast and the furious kids...i ain't buying it....and i won't put u down if u do....a stock civic is a economy POS civic....i will be first to admit that...and i still think a srt-4 or sx 2.0 is a still a POS neon but thast me...feel free to ur own opinion

from the mods you listed i doubt your car can take a wrx...... let alone a srt

everyone has there opinion on this car... i personally dont like american cars.... the quality control levels they have in production would keep me away from them forever... expessially compared to japanese factories....

but i would have to agree with quick_cx in that a mildly modded civic ie. quick_cx's car... would for sure take out a neon... and lets remember it is a neon.... the butt end of so so many jokes....

Well, my stock honda civic could take a 1970's Mini! Maybe, whats it rated at 70hp? 58ft/lb torque? Thats about all. The SRT-4 is a much faster car then mine. A friend of mine is getting one, or so she says. Right now she is driving her parents Acura RSX, and they drive a lexus or something like that.

dollar for dollar its hard to beat a modded civic... obviously the more rice you put on the slower your car gets... but imagine having like 20 000 to mod up ones car.... mmmm that would be nice

Though it's a fast car, I couldn't justify BUYING one with my own cash when a WRX is a much more refined car for $45K out the door. $27 + tax and all that, looking at $32K... so for only $13K more you get a WRX with WRC heritage and the car is proven. I'd lease one, maybe, but buy one Plus it looks horrific Time will tell who was right... ppl didn't believe me when the neon came out at first... everyone said they had turned Chryler around and the Neon was a reliable affordable car... after 150K, I was proven right... the all need headgaskets at this mileage, and they constantly have electrical problems.
