Ya, I've got the blackhousing ones on my Protegé GT, I like 'em a lot better than the chrome ones. I'll tell ya right now overkill, get some snow tires, the 16" Dunlop's suck bad in the snow. Welcome to Toronto Protegés, I see you've posted there already, they're a good bunch of guys.

I believe that they actually have a deal going on right now for $600 you can get snow tires and steelies. However, after the money I've spent on the car, it will have to wait a little bit.

Of course, the Dunlops HAVE to be better than my Khumo 712's were in the snow, plus this vehicle isn't lowered.

Yep, already working my way into the Protege club )

OK

Well the Mazdaspeed Protege is basically a fully modded car, what fun is that.. I'm more looking along the lines of something I can build to MY specifications and not that of a manufacturer. ;o)

Welcome to the darkside indeed, not as many of us Mazda folks as the Civic guys ;o)

Regards,
OK

I would most definately look forward to that...

I gained a fair bit of knowledge during my TCC days form guys like Duy, Vince, Dan, Jeff etc and am eagerly looking forward to applying it to the P5

You shoudnt turbo a protege on that stock engine, plus turbos require more mantainance. I think you should deffinately consider a supercharger. I am not sure if Jackson Racing makes SC for mazda protege, but check it out, SC is the way to go.

ps, can be a bit pricy, 5k installed.

I'm aware of some of the ins and outs of the turbo...

Thats the thing that is installed with a big bottle in the back seat right ;o)

I check another Protege website now and then to see how the FM Turbo kit is coming along, as well as others that are in development.

As for SuperCharger. If it ain't Vortech then I ain't gonna put it in and even those kits are around 8-10K installed.

OK
