Source for rear brakes ???

I am a Honda owner and I am enjoying the car alot but I am not a hardcore Honda guy. If I was still driving a mustang I would know the answer to this question but I am wondering where to buy, and what type of rotors and pads to install on my 02 SiR? I keep reading about Brembo blanks on the net but those posts are always like 3 or 4 years old, are they still available? My rears have been in bad shape since I bought the car last May, I had the fronts done then but another 40K of driving has really finished the backs off. I want good quality but nothing crazy. Car is bone stock and will remain that way. Should I go to ceramic pads, or just stay with semi-metallic. I want quiet braking and rotors that don't warp and become a rusty mess like I see in there now. I don't mind ordering online but I would prefer to stay in Canada to avoid the border hassles. Any advice would be appreciated.

Pat.

I suggest you go to napa, canadian tire, parts source and get the best rotors available with the cheapest pads. This will help ensure the rotor doesn't warp pre-maturely and pads are cheap enough that you can afford replace them more often (if you do your own brakes...it's easy), and the rotors will last a lot longer. It will save you money down the road.

The harder the pad you use, the quicker you will wear down the rotor and or possibly warp it, thus you'd have to replace the rotor and pads everytime, which is more expensive.

I have ALWAYS had problems with the brakes on my 00 SiR where the rotors ALWAYS warp. I recently switched and started using the premium, more expensive rotors with the cheapest pads and so far it has made a huge difference. I bought the premium rotors from crapy-tire, the grooved ATe rotors, they are pre-heat cycled and pre warped before they are machined, so that when they do get really hot, they don't warp. They work very well, had them on my car for a few thousand km's, so far so good. They come with a warrentee as well (even if you do them yourself, like me) so if you do have any problems, just keep the receipt and take em back.
