I don't know what side you drive on, but that's the driver's window... ?

Sucks tho. Someone busted my window for my pioneer deck a few years back.

My old Civic got broken into twice. The damage was more then the value of the stuff they took. After the second tme, I just stopped locking the door. That way, noting gets broken if they really want into the car.

Now with the new car, I dont leave anything of value in it thats visible and hope for the best.

To the o/p, try a few wreckers. You might find a used window for cheaper then the dealer.

I filled a police report and they said they might get my GPS back if I provide them the serial number.

This will cost me 280 for the window and 100 for installation plus TINT.

They broke my passenger side then took my fkin gps...... THe sad thing is. I was just looking at my car 30 mins ago then I went to my room then my cousin going to school saw it.

You should not have left the GPS in plain sight.
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

I'd imagine that even if only the dashboard mounting bracket / holster was visible, a GPS thief would know which model it was & whether it was worth cracking a window to toss the car for it. Most (lazy) people just put "valuables" (transponders, faceplates, GPSs, even wallets & cellphones) 'out of sight' (ie: glovebox, center console, under seats) rather than take them out of the car & "pay for it later".

In the areas I generally leave my vehicle, I can (and do) risk nothing. Clear it right out, every time.

its called mapquest and bam.... jot that shiz down and I have never had a problem. No offence but Orillia is tiny as hell. You dont need a GPS unless you cant find your way out of a plastic bag. All roads out of that city take you straight to 11 or towards Rama. Hell if you know your north east south and west... 3 out of the 4 take you to highway 11.

^^ I agree; GPSs are very useful for last minute plan / route changes or to find nearby points of interest on the fly. Weather & traffic updates can be priceless for those in a rush. I would also argue they are safer to use while driving than calling a friend frantically (like my cousin) or unfolding a map on your steering wheel (like the majority of helplessly lost drivers).

Oo yes thats what I said right... if anything I am better because I didn't leave expensive shiz in my front seat asking for it to be stolen.
No one said they we're better but if your going to assume fine. Its not my fault you cant read a simple map or follow instructions. GPS has been out for vehicle for how long? and people have been stealing stuff out of vehicles for how long? right so although I feel bad for the OP I still think its stupid as hell leaving this things on your dash/windshield for thieves to pick and choose which model they want.
But you keep assuming I think I am better because I can mapquest locations and read a map I will be happy knowing that a thief probably is not going to target my car for a piece of paper with writing on it.

I have heard, in Montreal, if thieves even see just suction cup marks on a windshield, they break into cars looking for GPS units. Keep this in mind, I don't think it will take long for this to happen here. Personally, I keep anything of value out of sight and rarely, leave anything of value in my car.
To the OP, I'm sorry this happpened. I've never had a radio or GPS stolen but I have had my home broken in and at a different time, a motorcycle stolen, right out of the under ground parking in a condo... I feel for you.
