Somebody tagged my car. Suggestions?

I was washing my car today, and found a tag (1x3cm sticker) under my driver's side mirror. Im paranoid when ppl get too close to my car, or touch my car. I hate it when ppl touch my car. So this is a lil freaky. Cause there's only 2 ppl who tag cars. (IE, some security guards will mark ur tire with chalk to see how long you've been parking in a spot.)

Parking maids/security, and robbers.

Are parking maids allowed to put any sort of a sticker tag on ur car?? i thought they're only allowed to use chalk.

I know robbers tag cars in the winter by putting markings on ur side view mirror. This happened to my friend. Parked at GO station. Came back and over 20 cars were broken into. All of them had a small swirl mark in the side view mirrors (including his). He said he noticed the mark 2 days prior, but didnt thnk anything of it. This way the crims know how long you've been parking there, and they know if ur a regular or not.

Im just worried somebdoy's tryin to steal sht from my car.

Any realistic suggestions. Dont tell me to sht on my seat.

relax man ... you drive a civic , not a bmw

and your paint wont get damage if someone touches your car , unless you have a shi t t y paint job..

If it worries you that much , just get an alarm nothing else you can do , if they want to steal it they will

I dont even lock my car sometimes LOL

your kidding right? civics are like the easiest car to break into and are one of the most commonly broke into! you gotta be more careful! OP i would suggest either get a security system, or make a fake one lol. if you wired some sort of flashing led into your dash or somewhere thats visible the thieves may avoid your car because they think you have an alarm

exactly so why even bother?

If they want to steal your car they will.. Alarms is a good way to go but they are pretty expensive , if you want a nice one

Making a fake one wont work

I dont like ppl touching my car just cause.. i dont like ppl touching my car. I hate it when ppl touch my car. Doenst matter what car it is. If i keep it in good condition, i dont want ppl touching it.

The club is useless. They just cut the steering wheel. If you doubt that, just youtube it.

Alarms only do so much...until they are de-activated.

If you are worried about your car being stolen, install a hidden fuel pump switch. They will be able to break in, but it will not start and they will not be able to drive it away.

Bottom line, if the want in, they will get in and take what they want.

Don't leave anything of significant value in the car.

Well if the answer to #2 is no, then #1 would fall to no as well. haha

I have no clue where it got tagged.. but right now, im thinking it might have been STC. i was there for about an hr for dinner. I know a lotta cars get broken into there, especially by the theatre cause they know ppl who park there will likely be at the movies. them bastards.

Steering wheel club?

Bolt cutters will easily cut the steering wheel rim. One quick cut on each side of the club and you're done in 5 seconds.

I know exactly what you mean. When you work hard to get what you have and making both ends meet. The last thing you need is some bottom feeder ******* stealing your ****.
My mustang was broken into twice and stolen. It was in a police pursuit in 401 east end. The cops let them go cause they say the pursuit endagared the plublic. This was 12 years ago and the city hall policy was different. I like the way it is now. Nobody gets away. No pursuit is called off. Take them down. What we need is the dealth penalty for theft and for serious crimes.

I have a GPS tracker installed and an alarm. Looking into the GPS tracker. It will help.

yikes, that would make me nervous too

Did you take the sticker off? lol

You could just be paranoid, maybe a kid stuck it there? My niece has done that before. She found a sheet of plan green stickers and stuck them all over my car, I was finding them still a week after it happened....

I do think you should keep a close eye on your car for the next while though. Park in well lit areas, try not to leave your car out of the garage or if you don’t have one, maybe have your parents park behind you? If you have any valuables in the car... I suggest taking them out for the next little while.

I hope this is just a false alarm, I’d hate to hear of someone else’s car getting stolen.
