Toyota's are solid. Wouldn't mind having one, but I'd still prefer my Honda.

that's not really a surpise if they did(not really sure), gm just hasn't been making cars like they used to...plus they are taking some of their better cars off of their line....

and to a lot of people that makes sense.....reliable, easy to drive transportation.....I prefer honda because I think they have a lot of the same characteristics, except are a little more fun to drive....

Unofficially for 2006, they have passed GM as the largest producer of automobiles in the world. GM is decreasing its production, while Toyota is increasing it.

I also believe that if Toyota wanted to they could destroy GM in a matter of months, release a couple of key models, adjust pricing slightly (they can afford to), and I think they would seriously hurt GM, but I don't think they want to do that at this moment.

I think Toyotas maybe ugly, but once again the reliability issue....but if we raise the bar n compare Acura and Lexus....Lexus would win no matter how it is viewed.....

Actually Acura is very well known for having the best interior designs in the higher class market, so Lexus wouldn't beat Acura there. But I did see that Lexus has been one of the most reliable brands for a long time. ALways in the top 3. Someone should bust out a consumers report article that would clear things up. Honda is up there but Toyota seems to beat Honda in the realiability category just about every year.

as far as interiors go, i like lexus interiors better than acura ones in general
lexus tends to keep things more suttle and clean and luxury looking, while acura usually goes for a more sporty interior
both are very nice though

major exception... is300 guage cluster = garbage

MR2 is still sold in the US....and I believe the Supra will be coming back in the next few years (whether it makes it to north america is another matter)

acuras are also lower priced than lexus like a base is250 is $36,300 and a base csx is $25,400.00 they are both there entry level cars

i dont like toyota but the lexus is a nicer looking and probibly a better preforming car but look at the price difference

Toyota is way better then Honda?? Come on I know you said the higher price range so I think you meant Lexus is better then Honda/Acura but the only well renowned lexus right now I would say is the IS300. Not to mention Honda won Best car of the year and Best Truck of the year (from detroit Auto Show). I'm not bashing Toyotas I think they are extremely reliable cars and the fact still remains.. People said Toyotas were ugly not Lexus'
