So Im starting to dig VW again

Late reply, but I've been working all week. Anyway...
I got the 06 EX in Oct 05 when they first came out. It was a great car compared to my 03. It did have a few issues like most new models do. O2 sensor, airbag sensor, strut mounts and the seats. They both creaked and squeaked right from the first day. Everything was fixed under warranty.
Got the 06 Si Si in the summer of 06. Great car. Felt different then my current 07, like the motor had a few extra hp maybe. Also had issues with the seats creaking and squeaking and the back panels would constantly pop off. Armrest and door handle rattled and was installed from the factory poorly. Again, everything fixed under warranty.
Got the 07 Si last summer. Excelllent car with no issues except for the seat and armrests wearing prematurly. Even the passenger seat that no one really ever sits in is fading and wearing. I think it might be from the sun, so this year I'm going to use a sunshade when the car is parked in the sun. The seat foam and fabric was sent back to Honda at their request.
I can understand that the interior is expected to wear over time, but not within 1 year. I take very good car of my cars. You could eat off the seats they are so clean. I think Honda knows there is a problem with the quality of the interiors because for 2009, the Si interior is a different fabric.
Must not be talking to the right people because on the 8th Gen forum there are many, many complaints about the quality of the interior, rattles, poorly fitting parts, etc. The interior and the 3rd gear problems are probably the 2 biggest complaints.
I don't abuse the interior or do anything that would cause excessive wear. Before I leave work I change into clean cloths to keep the interior spotless. In the winter, I clean the inside more then the outside.
I love the car, I just wish the interior was a bit nicer, but it's a Honda not an Acura.

Holy crap! What the heck do you do in your car??? Just sit in there and beat the hell out your seats and doors?...or maybe I don't want to know...
I've never heard of so many interior parts needing to be replaced on any car of that age (2-3yrs). It must be just your car, cause I have never heard anyone else have so many issues with the interior of other peoples 8th gen civics. It's unusual for there to be that many problems with those components in one vehicle. You must be rough on your equipment.

There are also far fewer CSX owners then Civic owners and therefore less known complaints. If you check CSXdriver.com, you will see them complain about basically the same thing Civic owners do.
I really like the CSX Type-S, but its so overpriced.

Yes I like the Type S too, but, you are right, it's so overpriced. I am actually liking the new Si sedans as well. A few weeks ago I went to Classic Honda in Brampton and they had one of the new orange colour Si sedans. The car looked really sharp.

You could almost buy a TSX for the price of a CSX.
The Si sedan looks so much nicer then the coupe. The front end with the better integrated fogs looks great IMO. And now that they have VSA, USB for the stereo and better quality seat materials, I wouldn't hesitate to get one. That is, if Honda lowers their interest rates.
If you are really interested in an Si sedan, Image Honda has 1 maybe 2 08 Si sedans on their lot. You could probably get a great deal on one.
