I.. COULD NOT believe it.

i was coming from martin grove onto engliton, going towards the 401 west.. the speed limit is 60!.. so i am going on to the 401.. i take the on ramp to the 401 West. i press the throttle, u know get some gas.. nothing hardcore..so i go around that bend.. right onto the 401.. and im coming up to the cut where just before dixie.. and all of a sudden i see from a distance these headlights come on.. and literally FLEW right behind me..then he turns on his lights .. well wouldnt u know..

3 cop cars
and 1 SUV..
its like i was robbing a bank...

this black cop comes out all excited upset that i was "speeding"... he asks

officer: WHY WERE YOU SPEEDING??

Me: officer.. i am coming from martin grove i turned onto the engliton.. going to the 401 W.. im going onto a HIGHWAY. so i have to reach a speed of 100.

officer: WELL YOU KNOW I HAD TO DRIVE 200 JUST TO REACH YOU....

Me: Well officer.. u were at a complete stop.. of course you had to reach 200 to get me?....

so after 20 min of waiting.. with all these lights around me..

HE LET ME GO!..

and i told him once i got back my information..

Me: listen buddie, i know you deal with ur fair share of bullshit, but i was not speeding nor did i have any intention too.

officer: just make sure you drive safe, and change ur exhaust its illegal..

Did you not read what the OP wrote? He increased his speed on the highway onramp, which is what everyone should do.

I hate being behind a person on the onramp that stays at 50km/h......is that what you do...if so then speed up dammit!!

I remember taking my G licence road test, when we got on the on-ramp to the 400 I opened up the taps and let her go hahaha....the instructer actually laughed. Most people are affraid and don't like to merge on the big highways BECAUSE THEY AREN'T GOING FAST ENOUGH!!!

I remember taking my G test with Young Drivers many years ago, and while getting on the onramp the instructor told me to slam the gas down and let the car get into the 'highway gear'.

The cop was just a dumbass, and should be charged for stunt driving.

been driving for 4 yrs and have yet to be pulled over. i never do the speed limit alway over. if i do get pulled over speeding it will be my fault most likely.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you're on the onramp to the highway the speed limit is usually posted on a yellow sign indicating a cautionary speed. As in, the speed you should be going to go safely around this corner. Its not a "if you go over this speed you're speeding". If so, then 50 is just a cautionary approach, you can go higher than this if you feel comfortable doing so.
