Unhappy So i had to break into my car

Well I got home from a tiring shift and just ran into bed and forgot my keys in my car and the doors locked (i locked the car doors but the left keys inside funny eh?).

So i tried many ways but one worked like a charm. I used a coat hanger and put it in the track of the window then poped the trunk opener thing(its not comin to me)...Anyone have stories of breaking into there car because of something stupid?

Nope, I haven't had the problem as of yet. I though CAA could help you out with stuff like that

i wouldn't recommend sharing stories like this in the future espically if you post your location, your giving other potential theives an insight on how to steal your car, if not other cars in the same class

I did it in my dad's jeep at square one.
I had no clue what to do so I cut a hole through the soft-top sunroof and got my g/f to climb in. It was an experience none the less.

a few years ago... car running. I called CAA.

last winter, with my Saturn... like and IDIOT!! LOL that time my dad hooked it up!

nautica_t... most ppl who would attempt theft already have a clue as to how to break it.

for me, I wouldn't know how to open the door, but I'd have no problem hot wiring the car if I knew in advance what car I was gonna take. luckily I'm not a lowlife and I don't have to steal cars

I used to lock the keys inside on an average of 3-4 times a month !!!

I used to call CAA, but eventually got tired of waiting and attempted it myself! ( I won't say how though... theives know enough already!! )

its a good idea to keep a spare key in your wallet

Once upon a time...

I was drying off my car after washing it in the coin op... I went to open my door and keys were locked inside, then I reached for my wallet and that was left inside the car too.

So I had to call someone to bring me another spare...

good grief!

I thought you couldn't lock a driver door for a Honda when it's open.

Yes you could. Pull the handle and lock it. But if you just push on the lock, it won't do.

I am not sure about the older models.

For me, last week, I washed my car and the door couldn't open so I had to open the hatch and climb from the back.... then I had to turn the seat ***** cause it is not the same as OEM where you pull it and it reclines instantly...

Stupid...

from my experiance if someone wants to steal your car they just smash the window anyways... that has happened to me twice now.... it doesn't even matter that civics are as easy as an old french ***** to break into anymore

i've used the coat hanger twice myself for the same problem

when u drive a 3 cyl 3 speed 92 geo metro which has inside: a pair of gloves, a few empty water bottles, some pennies and a few parking tickets....you dont have to worry about locking at all.

Im a firm beleiver in this.. its saved my *** at least ten times... just the aggravation of calling caa worth it...even if it saves u one time it was worth it lol...

plus i use it for other stuff, like i disable my trunk poper, so i have to use a key, its a PITA to turn off the ignition just to open the trunk...so my wallet key comes into play

The zipper in the jeep was really rusted and ****, and it couldn't budge. Now it has a new soft top, so it's not as ghetto as it seems
Yes I know, I'm an idiot.

Yup, I do!

I was at the coin car wash, locked my keys in w/ my car still running. I went to the car-wash attedant, and found a screw driver and coat hanger. I then used the screw driver to pull back the stripping on the bottom of window to fit the screw driver down the side of the door. As I did that, put to much pressure on the window, and it shattered everywhere.

The only good part was that I was able to get into my car, and drive home.
