Anthony,

Snow can be fun. Drifting around, doughnuts, rally style driving, etc. Of course this is keepign off the main roads and making sure no one else is around.

well my car was stuck in the garage all day. still havent had a chance to take my Kumho's off and they totally SUCK in the snow. made the mistake of trying it out last year and there is absolutely no traction at all...haha. but i dont think i'm going to bother putting on my snows yet cuz all this snow is going to melt in a couple days anyway

I think now is a good time for me to shell out and buy some 17" SSR rims and slap Michelin Pilot A/S. All season Ultra High Performance Tires.

Their all season traction is amazing.

I currently got Firestone FR690... they are ******* GARBAGE in the snow. Sorry for the profanity but there is no real other word to describe how CRAP they are! Crap is grossly understatement for those tires.

I was on Queensway heading over a bridge yesterday.. ice on the bridge. I had to stop on the bridge cuz there was an accident there... I couldn't get up the bridge. My wheels would just spin and bring me over side to side.. And I'm serious.. I was SUPER light on the clutch and gas. SUPER SLOW! Nothing. I pretty much had to put my handbrake on and drag my rear wheels up the hill or I wouldn't make it up. These tires are so crusty!!!! When I take these tires off... I'm gonna go to the dollar store and sell these to them! $1

Just wondering cause I didn't see underground parking by your apartment, and I didn't think you kept it out in the snow all year.

Its hard to find good looking FUNCTIONAL floor mats. Since it's the winter who cares how they look. I would recommend the Pants Saver mats. They hold TONS of water and snow. I think they are kinda pricey but they work.

In general, any mat with lots of deep grooves will work nicely.

If those tires are the stock tires I agree 100%. I have firestone all seasons and they are terrible in snow. I'm going to switch over to my Blizzack snow tires now. Those are EXCELLENT in snow/ice conditions. Never spin the wheels.

Snow is fun in FWD car with good snow tires.

I'm actualy faster than OcTaNtEdDy now.

Not too bad with the body kit on. Front tires push the snow out of the way, making a nice path for my sides not to scrap.

Basically, just go with a set of mats that have high edges on the sides. It is these high edges that will keep the snow, slush, water, etc. on the mat and not on the carpet. Personally, I leave my mats in all year round.

I kinda of hate this weather tho. Cause my hatch is dumped like it is and I have my lip on now, my hatch is a frigging snow plow :fustrated:

How are the rest of your doing in this weather?

2nd gear start will help keep you on the road
good winter tires adds better traction

Not driving like you are michael andretti at dayton reduces chance of collision hint hint

I guess I'm stupid but... the reason being is that the entire bridge was ice. I was actually rolling back down cuz my front wheels were stopped on ice but thankfully my rear wheels were SORTA on dry pavement. Without my handbrake.. I was actually skidding down the hill.

I didn't drag drag the wheels but I dragged them as in the brake was on and I was pretty much pulling it up with the e-brake on.
