Smashed my Car into a Garage..... *PICS ADDED*

So...as stupid as the title sounds.... my dumb *** car alarm's auto start went off while i was parked uphill on a slanted driveway with my e-brake and in 1st gear.... i hear my car start and i'm like wtf? then i hear bam bam bam and i'm like
I run outside my girl's house and i see my car peelling out trying to push it's way through the garage door....

by this time i'm thinking ***, i just owned the garage and after i backed the car out , my hood has a dent, and scratches allllll over..... nothing cracked but scratches all over, havn't checked if i bent any thing yet out of place but... just so happend the g/f's garage door is aluminum... if it was wood i think my car would have been owned a lot less....

Now, i just slapped on this front end, and i was soo happy and eager to have it on and now i just ruined it after the 2nd day its been on, I REALLY REALLY want to get this fixed but iw as going to repaint the whole car by end of winter.... but should i just do it now.... and get everything fixed and a piece of mind....

I'll post pics, when i have time and when the sun comes up and see what you guys suggest, i'm thinking knock the dent from the hood and buff it? if it's possible

also anyone know somewhere thats cheap for knocking out dents and buffing

alos will be getting a new car alarm soon... pos i broke the remote after cause iw as soo pissed

Fenders were from before ( i have a new aftermarket one to repalce it but OEM is always best )

pager alarm or not?
i thought most pager alarm, you have to ebrake up, neutral, in order to activate auto-start feature, so your car basically won't move when it starts itself

you really need a better alarm

sorry to hear about your misfortune... i wanna see a pic of the garage too

^^ counter pwned

kevin...sorry to hear about your loss. i still cant imagine how the auto start went off all by itself. what kind of an alarm system is it anyway? either have it checked by one of affiliates or get a new one altogether.

Thanks guys,
Its a code alarm ( don't go cheap, just get comp or something nice ) came with the car when i bought it

my driver side door doesn't unlock sometimes / lock sigh***
work after work
Maybe i'll just grab a cf hood... get my bumper buffed out or something

anyone know how well carbon holds up in the winter?
rumors here and there but overall i heard its fine having them on in the winter

also anyone knwo how much garage door panels cost? i heard they are pricey....
thats more worrying then my car as a new hood and bumper can easily be fixed but it just bothers me looking at it especially since i just got my front end on

even worst my paint job screwed up on my spoon lip ( started blotching dont' even know why) .... like its a series of misfortunate events

I was going to suggest taking the car back to whereevr you had the auto-start installed, but if it came with the car then you're SOL.

Personally, I would never trust one of those things. The damage doesn't look too bad. Hopefully you can get it fixed easily.

ya its not too bad

but scratches and stuff bother me :LDKFJSKFJSDL:FJKSD:F
so just called around for cf hoods hahah
u think buffing would take the scratches off the hood?
I think its paint, nothing deep

bumper is a differnt story prolly

And instead of hitting the garage door doing minor damage, the car could have gone out into the road and traffic or worse hit a pedestrian.

With most cars that are manual there should be a bypass box that won't allow the car to remote start unless the car is shut off with everything in order (i.e car not in gear). For my Viper, the E Brake Must be up and my foot off the brake before I can set it to remote start.

I suggest you go to a shop (such as Selective Sound) and have the alarm/remote starter set correctly as to prevent this from happening again.
