sisley honda screwed me

well , i took the car in for servacing...not mine....i fif the type d package..on a 2000 si...it came to 355 plus tax...and i don't even know wut they did..but then since they took out the brakes, they told me they can put new ones in for free, adn all i have to do is purchase the parts..so, they put new ones in the front..plus they changed my air filter, and the car was kweeking..so they told me that they had to machine the rotor...i paid 100 to machine 1 rotor, and 58 for new brakes int eh front...all in all they did
1) oil change, new spark plugs, inspect my car, put new brakes in teh front, changed my air filter, machined my rotor, and rotated my tires, took off my si hubcaps, and washed my car for 636....is that a good price or wut

That's ***!

The only way to do things is to do it yourself.

Thats wat you get when you pay retail.

brakes are 140 for two rotors machined.
pads are 60.
tune up is 68
air filter is 15
plus those other little tidbits?

shouldn't have been more than 300-350 with tax. The prices listed above are for the services I have done or got quoted recently(brakes). you shoulda got a reciept with all listed services. Unless you took the car up and down twice, I don't see how they could charge you 650.

when I got my last timing belt done it was 400. initially it was 290. then they said they had to reseal cam gasket. cam gasket is 7 bucks. They took 1.5 hours to do everything. considering their rate is 90/hour, they couldn't have charged 100 extra for the extra cam sealing work. WE BOTH GOT JIPPED.

that is Honda Retail price...I used to work for Markham honda....basically the maintanaince schedule is full of bull....over half that **** you don't need, you mainly need the oil change, sparks, dis cap..etc..., valve adjustment, tranny fluid change...mainly stuff like that, you don't need any inspections...they just take a quick look anyway and if you brakes are still at like 25% they say you need new pads, and with new pads they always sell machine rotors, I know I was an advisor..all advisors are crooks...thats why I'm out of the business...basically all you need to do is get a maintenance schedule and show it to me and I can show you what you really need, whenever they say you need new brakes, check the pads for wear!

Back then when a civic hit 100,000 clix, they need a type 4 service or D whatever, which is $400, then they need a timing belt and water pump, $500, and of course extras, such as brakes, engine flush, coolant flush, alignment..they just try to rip you on everything!!

thank god I don't work for Honda any more!!!!

brakes, engine flush, coolant flush, alignment.. are all good things that should be done to a car to keep it in good shape...personally i wouldnt pay to have it done, cuz i can do it all in my garage (minus the alignment) Cars are expensive period...

yeah you have a point there, but we used to sell the jobs even though the car was fine...think about that!

basically ripping off the customer!

well... yeah I was the dude with the "bum" car.... however I knew when I got it that it needed a little TLC ... the engine was also replaced by them....after it blew up. while the engine did cost me an additional 300 bones... it has been a great engine that I have beat en on at autocrosses and has never let me down.

that does sound like the going rate for that type of package. I really don't think they screwed you. and I also don't think they screwed me with this car... being screwed is when something isn't done right and when they are confounted with it they deny and refuse to fix the issue. in those regards while sisley took a few days to come up with what their options were for my car they did eventually offer me a few options... it was in the end my choice to have the engine dropped in for 300 bones... and I'm happy with the service sisley has given me...

**** man I would've just took my car else where
I remember when I use to go to Parkway Honda to get my car serviced...... man I can tell u one thing.... $$$$$$$$$$ rip off...
my car had problems starting since the first day when I picked it up (car wouldn't start right up... had to crank a few times)... but they refuse to get me another one... went back and forth to get the dam problem solved but NOOoooo... they can't fix it coz the stupid problem won't show when the car is in.... spent the first few hundred kms driving back and forth many many times to try to get the problem fixed... and there was this time when my car was being serviced I just soo happened to wash and waxed my car the day b4... and they ******* washed it for me.... and ******* scrached it... **** not only did they fucked up the paint... they ******* wasted my time to clean and wax it.... they left water spots all over the ******* car and ******* scratched my bumper and fender.... man was I PISSED.... after that every time I go I would always "ALWAYS" make a note to them not to wash my car no matter how dirty it is.....
then another time when I dropped it off I saw this old man going out to take my car to the back... but I was watching him twisting and turning my ******* shift ****.... **** if u don't know how to use it don't ******* break it.... I was so pissed when I saw that I went out to showed him how to do it... and ******* yelled at him ... he ******* screwed up my shifter and now it loose... ******...
then another time (last time I went).... the car was being serviced then the advisor called and said one thing was wrong and needs to be checked...and it'll cost a couple hours .... said ok then... later another call ... ur brakes need new pads... and i'll cost u another...$$$ ... ok then go ahead ..... (never said anything about machining rotors $$$$$$$$$$)... picked up the bill and I'm like FUCKKKKKKK!.... WTF is this ****... I never gave the permission to machine the rotors ... and they want to charge me 600 for that... WTF.... then they try to give me all this BS about how they need to do that coz I got new pads... I'm like **** my brakes are ok when I went in... and the disks are nice .. no scratches....(ok just the normal ones but it's almost perfect)
..... since I was so unhappy about the advisor ... the manager took over and then finally they didn't charge me for that....
man that was the last time I went to the dealership for service

....ok sorry about this long post but I had to say it coz I was not happy with the way I was treated.... plus I was given a ******* lemon
