Silver Cars: Played out or classics for life

It seemed that everywhere you looked for the last 10 years that Silver cars were everywhere. Silver metallics became so popular that they had the variants of Silver metallics come out like gunmetal, bronze metallic, grey metallic, coal metallic...

So what do you see happening next and what is your opinion?

With all this Fuel efficiency push, lighter shades and colours(pastels, earthtones) will be the new styles as people are ever more conscious about their eco-friendly image. My 2 cents.

Silver is a timeless, classic colour that will always look good. It is very popular though and I see many, many cars in silver.

I like silver, but it really depends on the car....on a civic, probably leaning more towards played out, just because every 1/3 EK 4 doors are silver it seems.....

My current Civic is silver, I loved owning it.

But I'm tired of seeing silver cars everywhere.

It just seemed like silver was once a special colour, now its the colour of being too lazy to wash your car.

I think it is rather foolish to think that silver is easier to hide the dirtyness of the car.

European silver (ie Mini Cooper) is a much better silver than that of a Japanese version. Simply astonishing.

A good one would be:
I like silver cars, but don't own one or plan to own one

I love silver, but it doesn't look good on every car. like a TSX looks best in white or black. it depends a lot on the car. my next car will prolly be black.
